hi! i am a high school senior who's going u of m (ann arbor) next year, and I'm wondering if anyone knows how like --intense-- the sororities are there? I looked up the school website already, but I was just curious if anyone here had any experience there

It's a large recruitment because there are 14 (at least, may be up to 15 in the fall) chapters. However, all of the chapters at U of Mich are great. Their houses are absolutely amazing! Most women who keep an open mind find their niche. It's a fun greek system.
First of all.. congrats on attending such a fine school!
Michigan recruitment is a fun experience. Recs are always nice but not as essential that they might be at other schools. The rush advisors are extremely helpful. You will learn about the Greek system as well as the university when you particpate in recruitment this fall.
Be wise about your new student social behaviour.. No sorority member is impressed with a drunk and obnoxious pnm who hits on the frats guys for a thrill.
Other than that small bit of advice.. enjoy recruitment and GO BLUE!
