Considering that 4 of the top 10 ranked teams including 1, 3 , and 4 all lost in one single weekend, I'm not willing to try to guess what kind of damage this weekend did to the rankings to be announced today. The fact that 6 of the top 20 lost, it's like some just crapped all over the rankings.
I'd love to say Oklahoma will be #1 and Alabama will enter the Top 5, but this season is unpredictable and so are the polls. The only thing I'm sure of is that somehow, someway, the USC Trojans will probably still be in the Top 10 despite losing to an unranked team since they're so beloved by the media. Somehow, UGA may slide out of the Top 10 although we were beat by the #8 team.
I think it's the shock to my Bulldawg system over such a disappointing loss that's making me sound pessimistic. I have to say Bama did a great job, and UGA was less than great.
But this crazy season ain't over yet.... My BCS championship dreams aren't over, and no over Bulldawgs should be either.

LSU won so why would they drop lower than last week. I don't think Penn State is gonna be there yet...maybe #6.

Hopefully UConn breaks into the Top 25. They're 5-0, and although none of their wins have been all that impressive, I'm hoping it's enough.
That, and Donald Brown is ridiculous.

I think Oklahoma will move to #1.
AGDee, I agree with you. I thought Wisconsin had it in the bag.
I couldn't believe the UGA/Bama game. That was after I watched UofM/Wisconsin and OleMiss/Florida.
What a day for games! That is what I love about college football. "It ain't over 'til the fat lady sings".

I think that Saban has enough enemies to see Bama stay a little lower. My guess is
1. Oklahoma
2. Mizzou
3. LSU
4. Bama
5. Texas

BTW, I agreed with your earlier post on why you love college football so much. This is exciting and completely unpredictable stuff!
However, Ole Miss has a lot more games to win before they even enter the Top 25. They've done well this season, but they've got far to go in the SEC.
Bama played a very impressive game against UGA. I'm surprised they outranked LSU but not disappointed or infuriated. I can live with #2 for Bama if they haven't trailed any opponents at all this season. Not. EVER in '08.

Awesome, #24, and 5-0 for the second year in a row. Now, hopefully the end of the season goes a lot better.

Dang...I was close! I guess people got over the Saban thing...as much as I hate him, Bama really looked good Saturday night!

Ole Miss has improved significantly with Houston Nutt on board! That Vandy team has been a surprise this year, but Ole Miss still has time to prove its worth! It really is hard to stand out when the SEC is so universally strong. GEAUX Tigers, by the way!
