Riley and I went camping on the Frio River this weekend. She had a blast swimming and hiking! I'll post photos later.

I finally have a few online photos of Buffy (who claims he's a member of "Alpha Delta Paw"):
Buffy Loves His Steelers!
What, no treats?
Where's Mom?
We were worried that he was large for his breed, but according to his vet, Buffy is the Perfect Bichon, with his size, weight, stance, and face! No wonder he sired so many puppies - but I really wish I could meet one or two of them!

Here are some pictures of my babies....
This is Sammy. He is my baby, only a year old and adorable. He always has cute pictures and does adorable things....
This is Spike. He is a toy fox terrier and has a great personality. He is the most lovable and loyal dog. He is 3 years old.
This is Sly and Sammy on their perch at the window. Sly is 5 years old. Our oldest. He is very tempermental. We had him in college and my hubbys roommates loved to make him mad so when he gets mad at you he will attack your leg... He is very loving when you dont make him mad lol.
This is Spike and Sammy together. Spike doesnt like Sammy so this was a special day lol.

My dog's name is Casey - she's a 3 year old mixed-breed terrier.
She looks really depressed there... probably because I made her a shirt. Mwahaha.
Collar from GiftMart!

bumping: new story
My camera broke a few months ago and I have yet to replace it... This evening I experienced yet another one of my "Riley moments" that really needs to be captured on film...
Earlier today we went to the dog park, where, of course, she got filthy and needed a bath. You've seen the photos of my dog in the tub. She needs no urging to jump in! I can actually fill the tub partway with warm water and she'll jump in and actually lay down and even roll in it, or she'll sit so her back is under the warm, running faucet.
So today, she got a bath. She had fun and I had a muddy tub to clean afterward. All par for the course....
This evening, I took her out for her last walk of the night and my feet got dirty (I was wearing flip-flops). So just noww I ran the bath to wash my feet. I filled up the tub partway.
Well guess who decided that it was time for a nice warm bath again? Riley jumped in!!!! I yelled at her to get out. She laid down. I grabbed for her collar. She sat up ... and moved under the faucet with the nice warm water coursing down her back.
Great. It's 11:00 and I have a wet dog who keeps trying to jump in my lap.
Good evening, folks. I'm now going to attempt to chase after Riley with a hair dryer...

I am thankful that my kitties are all ok!
My cousins'/aunt's kitty, Willie, has been missing for the past 3 days. (he's an indoor/outdoor cat) I know how upset I get when my Natalie get outside & goes missing for a whole day; can't imagine THREE full days (and nights )!

I need help! Riley has developed an aversion to being brushed because I accidentally pinched her with some thinning shears. Any advice on taking control of the situation? She goes running whenever she sees me coming at her with the comb. And if I sit her down on my lap and relax her and try to comb, it doesn't help either.

On an animal board, someone had this problem. It was suggested that the owner spend a day or two petting the dog as if she was being combed, but just use your hand. After the dog is calm enough to be petted, then "pet" her with the comb. She should take to the comb soon afterwards.
Another method is to hold dog down, then brush with cooing, loving words. Turn dog over, repeat. Stand dog up, and fluff. Make sure you save a VERY special treat for these days, and reward appropriately.
