This thread has been great to read.
So, if my campus had had a Greek system, and I could have had my pick of any of the NPCs, my first choice would unquestionably be Alpha Gamma Delta. Hands down. They have a hugely special place in my heart because of the links between the organization, its founders, and Wesleyan, and the diabetes philanthropy is meaningful because diabetes affects my family.
Other than that, for purely superficial reasons:
DPhiE - I like their history and I think the purple and gold is really striking together. Plus I think the nickname "Deephers" is really cute.
KKG - I adore their colors, the fleur-de-lis, and the symbols.
KD - The Dove commercial with the little girls makes me cry each and every single time I see it, and I can't think of a better cause to be involved in than helping to build the self-esteem and self-worth of little girls. And there just seems to be something so elegant about KD, just based on what I've seen here on GC and on their website.

Hmmm. Based on colors/symbols/all other superficial shit and NOT having to do with what I actually thought of the groups on campus...
Kappa Kappa Gamma
Kappa Alpha Theta
Delta Zeta
But, I would really have only wanted to have joined KKG, KAT, and AOPi (at Ole Miss) besides ZTA. (XO, AOPi, and DZ at MTSU)
********All groups aforementioned are breathing a collective sigh of relief that they didn't bid me... Lollers!******************************

What a fun thread!
I would have liked ZTA based on their colors, symbol, philanthropy, and b/c they are also part of the Farmville Four .
I have also always liked Pi Beta Phi, because a girl that was one of my friend's roommates in college had transferred to our school, and where she came from she was a Pi Phi, so I got to see the colors and badge of a sorority I was not very familiar with at the time.
I also like Chi Omega, since their colors are really pretty, have a cute mascot, and also since they were founded at University of Arkansas, home of my favorite football team!

I would have been a Theta Phi Alpha because I like the way the letters look on shirts and their Creed.
However, I love Delta Zeta's house at Purdue!

Kappa Delta because their philanthropy is dedicated to preventing child abuse. As a certified sexual assault/domestic violence advocate, I love their cause.
Though nothing could separate me from those DDD's

I would have definitely gone AOPi....
My aunt was one and I can remember she had so many good memories and pictures of all the fun she had. I was dying to be an AOPi when I went through recruitment!!

First time poster! Woot!
If I had to choose any other chapter besides my beloved Kappa I'd have to say:
ZTA: My grandmother was a Zeta and I value family traditions alot, so being a sister with my grandmother would have meant something to me. Plus their symbol is so cute.
ADPi: Began in Macon, which is like my second home to me. Adore their colors! They scream "I'm a sorority girl" to me.
DZ: Really connected with them during rush. Have yet to meet one I do not like. Another chapter I'm a legacy to. Man my daughter will have choices ha.
I'd just like to say its really a beautiful thing to see members from all different chapters come together and promote Panhellenic spirit. Its something that should be embraced on all campuses.

Well since I'm not the only guy. If I had a daughter I wouldn't want herto join a sorority (Sorry ladies). I would want her to join Psi Upsilon more then anything else. (Beautiful thing about being coed. At certain schools at least, any child would be a potential legacy. )

I'm bumping this because I love it!
My overwhelming first choice would have been Alpha Delta Pi! I loved them during informal recruitment, they are very strong nationally, I love their colors/Alphie (of course a Penn Stater would love the blue/white colors with a Lion mascot). I'm very glad I'm a Sigma now, but ADPi would have been an amazing choice as well.
Second-Zeta Tau Alpha because I loved their symbols, colors, and the fact that they are so involved in our dance marathon here (they've been the top fundraisers for years!) Also that they are in the Farmville Four, and I love their motto.
Third- Pi Beta Phi I love their philanthropy, their colors are pretty, and Pi Phi ladies are so classy.
Fourth- Kappa Kappa Gamma Love their nickname, the philanthropy, that Kappa's are oh-so-classy, and the fleur-de-lis (I'm obsessed with this symbol!)
Fifth- Phi Mu, I love that it's strong nationally, the quartefoil symbol, the lion mascot, and the French motto that's about being faithful.
If we had it at our campus (isn't it ironic that at a school with 19 I could still want another?) but Delta Phi Epsilon because I love their motto and colors, and their philanthropy is close to my heart. Also Alpha Epsilon Phi has a sweet motto, as does Alpha Gamma Delta. Alpha Phi's crest and mascot are also very appealing to me, as well as Delta Gamma's philanthropy and Kappa Delta's motto. Also Sigma Kappa's motto is succinct and special to me.
Basically I loved something about every sorority that I looked into, which is why each of them is amazing and unique on its own and why anyone should be happy to be in the one in which they best fit. But I do love being a Tri Sigma most of all, because of our colors, our symbols, and because the motto means so much to me. Besides my amazing sisters which are what truly make the experience!

Even though I loveeee being a Phi Sigma Sigma, I think that if I had to pick another GLO I would choose.... Alpha Delta Pi! I love their motto "we live for each other" because it definitely is a fantastic representation of what Greek Life is all about!

I'm not that far removed from age 18, so hopefully this won't be too difficult
AXΩ: I hadn't heard much about them before I started going through all the websites, but their commitment to "Real strong women" really made an impression on me. I found myself really drawn to this sorority and its ideals.
AOΠ: I like their commitment to "Exceed the expectation." Plus, the romantic in me got really excited that they specifically mention the candlepass tradition on their website.
AΞΔ: I love the colors of this sorority! I also really like the philanthropy and the ideal of inspiring women to realize their potential.
XΩ: I always see the cutest owl stuff when I'm shopping and envy the ChiO sisters because they get to deck themselves out I also like that this is the largest women's organization because it means you have lots of sisters all over the place.
ΔΔΔ: I think it's very cool that they explain how the pearl was "chosen to symbolize the new member because it is the one jewel that grows, developing from a tiny grain of sand into a thing of great value and beauty." I also really like their philanthropy (St Jude).
ΦM: Love the pink! Very cool creed.
ΣK: Love the colors and symbols, have always been impressed by women I’ve met from this sorority.
ZTA: Love the colors, badge, crown symbol...haha, a lot of things. I also really like their philanthropy.
Overall, I'd have to say my top two would be AChiO and Sigma Kappa...but I know in my heart I'm meant to be a KD!

These would be my top three:
KAΘ: They were my second choice at my school and I have a lot of respect for them nationally. I love that one of their founders refused to be a mascot! And Thetas are some of the coolest people I know, including here on GC. CASA is also such a unique philanthropy, it's a great cause to draw more attention to.
AXΩ: I was told certain pieces of their ritual (sorry ) and it really resonated with me, absolutely beautiful. Although I'm not musical I went to a musical school (the AXΩ chapter really needs to reopen there!!) and much of who they are as an org is just plain cool.
AГΔ: This wouldn't have resonated with 18-year-old me, but 26-year-old me's husband was recently diagnosed with "juvenile" diabetes so the philanthropy really hits home for me. The squirrel is just plain cute, too. And "Inspire the Woman. Impact the World." - poignant and such a great vision.
Honorable mentions would go to ГΦB (the Badge Trends thread has highlighted such incredible historical badges & the pink & brown has really grown on me), ΔΔΔ (documenting everything- including ritual- from the founding is just incredible), and ΠBΦ (Monmouth duo, one of my best friends is a ΠBΦ).
So... I'm THRILLED with Kappa and I love my key, but I think if I had a do-over without KKG I'd probably go with Theta. I just keep getting drawn back to them- first as a collegiate, and now as an alumna.
I often think about where I would want any potential future daughters to wind up- I would LOVE to share a bond of Kappa with a daughter, but at the same time I would also cherish the opportunity to learn more about another great organization and be more involved elsewhere. GDI is always an option, but I'll claim ignorance is bliss on that for now
