i think there has been some selectivity in the judging BUUUTTTT, i do agree with the criticism toward rami and sweetpea. out of all of the designers, they have the most diverse eye in terms of who they could market their designs to. i can really see alot of sweetpea's stuff in saks or needless mark up but i can also see her doing something for h and m or even many of the plus sized lines like lane bryant or igigi.
rami--what can you say, he loves his drape and stands by it. to me he's been too safe. the most daring creation was with the denim piece he did. i think the judges know that he is hot and want him to venture out. i would LOVE to see what else he can do because CLEARLY he loves and appreciates the female form so much.
i have a feeling that christian is going to win because he really falls in line with some of the stereotypes of the fashion industry--he is tempermental, bitchy and cocky beyond words. he will probably do very well in europe. jillian will fade cuz she is just high strung and slow.
rami, chris and sweetpea will do very well and have a very loyal following. im glad chris was able to come back and prefer that he or rami win.
oh and i think kara saun looks gorgeous!!!

Also, it bothers me that the judges have been selective in their criticism. So Chris makes TWO dresses with similar neck/shoulder pieces...
- This was the THIRD jacket that Jillian made in the last four challenges
- This was the FOURTH outfit that Christian has made with nearly identical puffy shouldered shirt/jacket and skinny jeans/pants
- and Rami and Sweet Pea have made COUNTLESS draped and cocktail dresses, respectively
I think their decision to make Rami and Chris "battle" to show at Bryant Park is dumb, and if Christian wins this will be the fourth year in a row that I hate the winner.
I like this show, but sometimes I really wonder why I watch it when every single year I always hate the outcome.

I've been looking at Kara Saun, trying to figure out why she looks so much better...did she get braces and/or veneers? If I remember, she had "horsey" teeth, and her smile looks so much nicer now.
About the designers that do the same old thing over and over...it used to bother me, but now I'm beginning to think it's better to stick with what you know and what you do well. I was a huge Laura fan last season, and all she really did was cocktail dresses. Yes, Rami's dresses are predictable, but they're all very chic and well-made. I prefer them to some of the experimental disasters from Victorya and Jillian.

P.S. Sweet Pea needs to design some things for herself - some of the outfits she wears to the runway shows are horrible.

I didn't like Christian at first, based on his cockiness, but he was right last night. He has cohesiveness, which is important when you show a collection. I mean, his over-the-top poofs last night are what the critics look for.
I have no idea who wins, but if you Google his runway collection, it rocks. It doesn't belong at Bryant Park, it belongs in Paris or Milan.
Can't wait for the finals. I wonder if "Ferocia Couture" will make another appearance.

Love love love Christian (STILL).
So glad Rami didn't make it straight into Bryant Park. They NAILED his designs last night -- they're pretty, but they're ALWAYS the same. I've said it before and I'll say it again -- I'm so over the drapey jersey thing he does.
Love Jillian too. She can be slooow, but she's good.

I just watched the reunion show... and wow was I the only one to think Carmen was super bitchy? She rolled her eyes when Heidi talked about her design.
I adore Christian, I'm not sure if I love him just for his designs or for his snark!
I also thought Michael Kors was really cute when he had the giggles. Just like a little school girl!

I thought she was bitchy as well. The comment about her being "hurt" by what the other contestants said in their one-on-ones the episode she left, I was like "Hello! Editing!" I'm glad now she left when she did.

Oh, I missed last night's episode!
I have loved Christian from day one!! He has been my favorite the whole season. I laughed on last weeks episode when he said something like:
"No, I didn't want to give him my stuff, but at the end of the day you help a fellow designer and their work still sucks."
I love him. He's right about everything and he's fabulous. Although, I'll never understand the hair cut.

Yes, Christian is the boy we love to hate - but most of his designs are definitely FIERCE. Did you see how he spends an hour every morning flat-ironing his hair? Who has that kind of time?

Yes, we were definitely watching the same program! I liked Carmen on the first couple of episodes, but after her behavior during the reunion show, I have no sympathy. She acted like a spoiled brat. Come on, do you really think people are going to say, "it should have been me that was outed. It can't be Carmen. She is just the best and we would really miss her if she were kicked off the show".
Girl, get a life.
BTW... I was really annoyed too when she made the, "thanks Heidi" quip. I think the producers left it in just to show her true colors.
