When AXO came to campus in 2001, they interviewed a lot of girls and chose 86 to colonize (total here then was around 100). They held their first recruitment during the winter term break (last week of January) and had their first new member class. I'm assuming it will work the same way this time.

Funny, I don't remember having this huge bump on my forehead from banging my head against the monitor since the last Recruitment season...

I think they are doing it to be mean
That is a neat way to go through the process. That way, girls can join the fall semester and ones that do not get asked to join will have a chance to join other chapters that same year (IE GPA from high school is bad)
I personally am a fan of second semester rush. It also gives the girls an opportunity to pratice rush a lot sooner after colonization.
Question- If the chapter gets 88 or so girls, does that mean they can only take 12 in formal rush
What is the average pledge quota for elon?

Just got an email from our president - no news yet of expansion. I swear, this is getting CRAZY! Probably next week we will hear....graduation was Sat. and they were prob. really busy with that and all.
Quota this past year was around 49 I think...somewhere around that number. Not too sure how that works out with a new chapter, but I'm pretty sure that if you colonize in the fall and get 80 or so girls, you can still attempt to make quota during formal recruitment. I could be dead wrong though!

We could only dream about 28 at my school....when I was in the chapter quota ranged from 10 to 13!! The University of Akron has a very small greek system (5 sororities/12 fraternities)...but is a verrrry large school! So sad!
