Some parts of the outfits had the sixers on it. It was like a compo. But the outfits were still ugly. They even said on ESPN that DC got booed.

I heard on the radio this morning that they were booed because of their outfits. The LA Lakers motif created by Mrs. Knowles did not sit well with the Philly fans. Her mother set them up and should have known better, plus the outfits were downright oooogly.

Disclaimer: Not hating on DC because I am a BIG fan, but when your outfits are tacky, then they just are.

She really did set them up. Philly is fighting for their lives with the Lakers on the verge of winning the whole thing. The last thing Sixers fans wanted to see was them in some Lakers gear. Even if it was only some of them. Plily fans do have strong opinions for sure and that was not going to fly.

Booed is pretty harsh. I turned them off and did not hear about it until this morning. Ouch!

I wonder how they handled that backstage?

This was the time you needed MTV following them around for the "Diary" show, instead of them back in H-town doing the rodeo.

Yeah, momma Knowles should have known better. ALL of them could have had on the NBA outfit. I bet she'll know better NEXT time.

Well I actually feel sorry for them. But what I don't get is my boyfriend said the crowd cheered or at least didn't boo after Survivor, then why would they boo after 'Bootylicious'? My boyfriend taped the game and since I feel asleep on it last night, I'm going to watch it again tonight and judge for myself. From what I've heard it doesn't sound to me like they were booing because of the Lakers outfit. Maybe they hated 'Bootylicious'. After all it's not like most people in the crowd are teeny-boppers.

Oh my gosh, the first thought that came to my head last night after they got booed of the stage was that posting on GC was about to be hot. I figure they were booed because of the outfits. Kelly was the only one with any Philly stuff on. The rest of them were rocking Lakers para.

You could see that they were totally shocked about being booed. Solange threw up both of her hands and was like "whatever" as they walked off the stage. She didn't handle that very well. What's up with all the braids. They must have a separate storage room at Mama Knowles hair shop to hold all that weave hair.

I swear I was thinking the same thing! Sexual Chocolate!!!
I knew that someone would beat me to the punch with that one.
Out here in the Bay Area, I was listening to the radio and some people called in talking about the "dark-skinned" girl that was crying...now I don't know if Kelly or Michelle actually cried once they got booed, but IMO it's about damn time someone let Beyonce know that they haven't forgotten about how she dogged the previous members. As far as the outfits that momma Beyonce designed, I always thought that she was a bit biased-and after seeing Michelle in those close-to-being-sweatpants with the Michael Jackson rhinestoned heels , I knew that her goal was to make Beyonce shine, then Kelly in a not so close 2nd place.

Red face

I knew it, I knew it, I knew it....I turned to my husband last night after they performed and said Greek Chat would be all over this. I bet the outfits did cause all the problems. I notice Michelle is always in pants, that's what they all should of had on last night.

At first I thought it was a good idea they represented both teams....I guess Philly don't play that.

I didn't think Beyonce needed to represent two teams AND the National Basketball Association.

Too funny.

OH, durn...I thought it was because she had the best physique out of all of them...(HINT>>>better than Beyonce), of course they wouldn't want people to be drooling more over her than Queen B! (AND YES I AM HATIN...I had both of the first CDs, I really used to like them, but now I am so sick of those damn girls. The thing that bothers me the most is how hoochie-fied they are becoming, or maybe they always were and I just didn't notice.)

After it had snowed, the Philadelphia Eagles played a game at Vet Stadium. Santa Claus and his reindeer were on the field and the fans threw snowballs at him. I think this happenned during the 80's.

After this happenned, the snow is always removed before a game.

BTW, Philly is known for booing its sports teams. It's a love/hate relationship.

being from philly, i can tell you that philly fans are probably the toughest in the world. the reason why they booed was because of the lakers jerseys. although, destiny's child did not all come out there with lakers jerseys on, some people still took it as a slap in the face.
By half time, the sixers were down. and, right now, EVERYBODY in this town loves the sixers. so, for them to come out with the lakers' jerseys on, was just like a slap in the face to some of the fans.
also, when the background dancers had on the lakers outfits, they were singing a song saying 'i don't think you're ready' that made them even madder. some people read too much into the song and the outfit and just booed them.
personally, i laughed when they got booed. i haven't like destiny's child (a.k.a. Beyonce and them other two girls) for a long time. the sentiment is shared with a lot of people here. i think some booed just because they were tired of seeing them.
