Theta Phi doesn't have many (or any) celeb alums that I'm aware of, but penguins do seem to be EVERYWHERE (March of the Penguins, Happy Feet) lately!

Interesting on the SATC thing. Maybe Darren Star's mom was a KKG?

I'm from Lambda Tau at University of Louisiana at Monroe (NLU when I was there.) We used to have our pref party and all of our special events at Bidenharn Gardens in town. The Bidenharn's were the first to bottle Coke. The owner's daughter was an AOII. Until she died she would look down at the girls participating in rush running around her yard. Red may have been in honor of her, but I've no proof that Mr. Bidenharn picked the color for Coke. I'm sure, though, that this is where the rumor came from.

Anyway, Indiana Jones is always with snakes, our symbol. It was our symbol first and then Sigma Nu stole it. j/k.

Considering Harrison Ford is a Sigma Nu that could make sense. Rumor was that in all of his movies there is Sigma Nu symbols but I don't think so.

Here are two that I can remember off the top of my head:
Sigma Chi letters on the wall in an episode of the Simpsons (Matt Groening is a Sigma Chi)
Not Entertainment but - Following 9-11 and all of the US Senators stood on the Capital steps for a picture to show solidarity each had on a small American Flag on their left lapel. Trent Lott had a Sigma Nu badge on just below his Flag.

yeah I'm pretty sure there aren't Sigma Nu symbols all over his movies. I don't even know how hardcore he is considering he hates Ripon College (his alma mater)...

Those are the only ones that I can tell you about.

i know this thread is mad old, but this subject has been popping up all day (in conversation with some zta's at lunch haha) and it irks me. I'm an animation major, and I can tell you right now that disney animators(like a lot of animators) work in a very collaborative way. No one person would be responsible for alll of that-different people exist to design each character, and the scenery. So while it's likely there are some zta secrets in the film, things like ariel's hair color and ursula's eye color and even the five pointed crowns are probably coincidence. I just had to say it before I burst, sorry.
