Melinda from RW: Austin is NOT Greek -- she goes to a technical college.
I did a little bit of searching to see if I could figure out Wes's fraternity, but if the information's out there, it's not too obvious.

Found it! From the Kansas City Star: "He'll be a junior at Arizona State University, where he studies business. His GPA is about 3.5, he says. A member of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. Also plays intramural racquetball and lifts weights."

Hmmm, I wonder if I met him...this past April my boyfriend's Phi Psi chapter at the UA held a joint pool party in Phoenix withe the ASU chapter....this should be an interesting season if his chapter reflects upon him seeing as how one of the ASU Phi Psi's got up on the high dive in the middle of the party and had sex with his date while everyone just kinda watched....

So many people take concurrent college classes while in high school that most come in with at least 9 hours of credit. With placement exams some come in with much more than that (the most I've seen on a recruitment application was 36).
It really makes it fun trying to figure out the true freshman!

It also depends when your birthday falls....I have a late birthday (8/28)...so I started my Junior year in college at 19 but a week later I was 20.
I have friends who were 19 through september of their junior year since the cut off for Ohio- not sure if it is the same in every state- is September 30. When starting kindergarten I had to be 5 years old before September 30 of that year.
Maybe that is the case since it says he will be starting his junior year-- guessing it means this fall!! Orrrr he could just be smart and skipped a grade!!
ETA: Actually it looks like he either started early or skipped a grade...he is a Sagittarius...so his birthday falls between Nov 23 and Dec 21...unless Kansas or wherever he started school has a different birthdate cut off than Ohio's September 30.
Buuuuttttt the MTV website has "19" next to his name but then has "Twenty" in the bio and "20" up next to his picture!!
Oh well-- I tried!!

Did he always go to ASU? Cause I so don't remember somone from AZ making the cast of RW in like 10 years (since Rachel, San Fran).
As for greeks...
Let's not forget Mindi from Beauty and the Geek, our LOVELY sister. (And she would have won if her partner only knew her middle name. GRRRRR)

I think some of the schools around here still have a February 1 cutoff date.
Plus as was pointed out, you can be a junior credit wise due to HS/college credit classes, testing out of classes etc.

Alison from this last season of Popularity Contest on CMT was greek, but I don't know what chapter.
If there is another season of that show I'm auditioning, so maybe a Sigma will make it on

Just like how my letters were on a bulletin board the same time my butt and elbow were on The Real World Hawai`i.

They just announced the Survivor: Guatemala cast this morning. At least one cast member is Greek: Morgan is an Alpha Chi Omega from Millikin University in Decatur, IL. (it's in her bio on the website) Don't know about anyone else.
ETA the Survivor Guatemala website.
