Another great episode but I agree with everyone and the cavier--suck it up and EAT IT!! Could they put it on bread or something(I thought I saw Kami eating bread with it)? And I would have totally eaten a big bite, chugged water and kept on going!
Still liking Colin and Christie but so sad that Joyce and Bob got eliminated. I, of course, teared up at the end when they were talking about how much they loved each other.
Still not a fan of the pizza brothers or Brandon and Nicole. I LOVED how Nicole wanted to do the shot and Brandon was like "Nicki--its not God's plan for us to do shots". When she was dying with the cavier, I was thinking "Maybe if you would have been a little drunk, that cavier would have been a little easier!".
I guess my other faves are the bowling mom's. They just seem to truly like each other, which is nice!
Can't wait for next week!

I was sad to see Bob and Joyce go - they gave it a good run though.

I really don't like Charla and Mirna the more I watch and I could care less about Brandon and Nicole. I think Colin and Christie are my new favorites.

My boyfriend and I talked about the caviar thing last night. I so would not be able to do it and he said he would have gone at it just like Chip - chug it down and get it over with!

There's no way I would have done the hockey thing either - it wouldn't be hard to convince my boyfriend to do the shots either...he'd be asking for seconds.

The caviar eating was more dramatic then it needed to be....with the crying, shaky hands, and almost passing out. I honestly thought Christie wasn't going to be able to do it.

Yay for Chip and Kim for finally coming in first place!!

Christian floofy hair boy just needs to go. I really don't understand the whole the lord doesn't want me to drink vodka but it's totally, like, okay to screw over other teams thing. I don't like Colin at all, either. I still think he's an arrogant brat. The pizza brothers are obnoxious.

Chip and Kim are definitely my favorite, followed by Charla and Mirna. They're fun.

i was annoyed by that too.

side note- the only thing i like about the brothers is that they call Charla and Mirna, 'Mirna and Smirna'. that is funny.

Gah. I finally was able to read the TWOP summary of last week's ep (which I and my husband missed, grr!), only to find that the dad and daughter had been eliminated.

This week was partially hilarious, though disgusting.

Oh my god re: the caviar. That was nasty. Some of you were saying that people could have just sucked it up? Y'all must be some big eaters!

I went to lunch today, had spaghetti carbonarra (yum!) and could only have about a six ounce portion of it, and about two ounces of salad. That's a half-pound of food. I truly can't eat any more than that without feeling full (and I'm 5'1" and 145 lbs; I'm not a skinny girl like the first two chicks were...). My husband can pack away about a pound of food before he has to stop.

Now, these people are trying to eat *two times* as much as my husband could eat, and *four and a half times* as much as I could normally eat at a single sitting. Plus they were drinking a *lot* of water to get it down, since it's usually extremely salty. I'm not even remotely surprised that people were getting the shakes and that the one girl just went green. Besides, a little caviar may be good, but having huge clumps like that, like a huge salty snot-loogie, is just *nasty*. Your body is likely to rebel to that much food and that much saltiness, period.

Half of it was the fact that the tiny skinny girls were the ones who were doing the challenge. The heavier contestants-- the mom, the brother, and Chip-- weren't doing too badly, but they didn't like it either. I don't know how Charla could get it all in there. I was amazed.

If I ever want to apply for TAR, just remind me of the caviar, and I'll back away quietly.

[Side note: I'm now strangely rooting for Chip and Kim, and once Colin realized that Christie was in near-breakdown mode, he went from insistent team member to concerned and caring boyfriend and was pretty tender with her. It would have been sweet if she wasn't gagging... poor thing]

whoa. that new twist at the end is crazy. the last team has to empty their pockets and start the next leg of the race with no money that is rough

Why do people talk slower when they are in foreign lands?? Like talking slower or with a bogus accent will make them understand you better??

Yeah....I told my mom that now there is no way that I would apply for TAR (she agreed, saying that if I was the team that happened to, I'd start panicking!)

Why did Chip have to help the evil Twins?! They would have left him in the desert if the roles had been reversed. He's too nice. I like the new "empty your pockets" twist.

AH! Those poor bowling moms! I think it's great that they're still in the game and I hope they can bump out those damn twins!

I was *so* happy to see the moms get an extension, evil though it may be to take all of their dough.

Glad that Chip and Kim and the twins seem to have made up, for now... It'll cost Chip, though.

LOL at Colin and Christie arguing. Classic. They don't have the Luck of the Evil, though.

My husband believes that Mirna and Charla have the Luck of the Annoying, though. [Charla isn't evil.]

As for speaking more slowly-- yes! it helps! Accents and speaking LOUD do nothing, but speaking slowly definitely helps. I couldn't make out most French when I was overseas, but when people were talking slowly, like a *good* tour guide or a patient ticket agent, I could understand about 80% of what they meant, and 50% of what they were actually saying.

As a follow-up to last week: my husband saw an article (on Television Without Pity, I think) that the kilo of caviar was approximately 2800 calories, and the salt/sodium was around seven times the recommended daily allowance. So seven times the salt and over twice the calories that I have in an average day, eaten in one sitting. Bleaurgh.

That new twist is crazy. I would hate to be the team that comes in late!

We haven't seen anyone use the yield...the only time we've even seen that option was in the first episode, when Alison and Donny passed by it but decided not to use it. I wonder if anyone will.

Am I the only one who kind of likes the twins?
