Eyes. Like human eyes. I am absolutely terrified of them.

When I was 14 and in a cheerleading competition, a cheerleader on another squad had finger nails that were too long. She was catching one of the flyers on her squad, the flyer fell, and the long-nailed girl hooked her nail into the white of the flyers eye. It was disgusting and chaotic and everyone just went into a complete panic.

After that, I couldn't even walk down the aisle of the drugstore that contains eye products without freaking out. Every single thing about eyes completely terrified me.

I'm getting better but I still can't watch someone touch their eye, can't touch my own eyes, can't look at pictures of eyes, can't put eyedrops in...the list goes on.

Seriously. I still get chills thinking about it. It was absolutely traumatizing.

Lots of people have already mentioned birds, but I, too, and deathly terrified of birds. All birds. And bats. And big butterflies/moths. Well, really anything with wings.

(Especially people's pet birds that they let out of their cages--aughh!)

1) Nails scraping any service
2) Sharp things poking my eyes
3) Umbrella's pinching my fingers when I close them
4) Accidents involving all types of transportation - I know this seems like a common fear, but mine is SO extreme. Like, I take the train to work everyday and if the train honks it's horn, I automatically think we're honking at another train to get out of the way.
5) Falling or getting pushed down on the train pit it's approaching.

Great way to introduce myself to GC!

So, I've always had a weird fear of emergency lights..you know, the ones that come on when the power goes out? Yeah, when I was a kid, I thought they were creepy eyes looking at me. So nowadays, I still hate to be in confined spaces where there are emergency lights!! Ugh.

I have a fear of high bridges! I happen to live in the wrong state to have this phobia as Florida has bridges every where you look! I also do not like heights! I was in total panic mode when my family drove up Pikes Peak in the car!

The garbage disposal! I was watching a horror movie once and a man turned on his garbage disposal and one of the blades spun loose and slashed him in the eye. I used to like peeking down at the blades while they spun but now I absolutely must stand to the side while it's going...I'm scared I might lose an eye!

I don't like escalators or staircases where you can see between the steps. I also hate extemely deep water, so diving pools and snorkeling are pretty much off limits. Jellyfish and dead fish make me squeamish too.

Worms. Any kind of creepy, crawly thing with no legs that slithers. I really don't like them. At. All.

Im scared of the movie "Cliffhanger"....I had to watch this in class once and I started shaking and felt like I was gonna puke.I hate watching people fall from really high up and gorges, cliffs, canyons really freak me out. It was hell driving through some parts of Colorado, Arizona and Utah this past March!!

I think maybe this phobia started when I was 12 and I watched a guy sky diving and his chute never opened...

I've probably seen that movie 10 times, but it never gets any easier watching the beginning. I always picture myself in her position and how scary that would be.

-Millipedes. I'm generally OK with bugs, but millipedes are so. flippy. scary. One summer while I was a camp counselor, we had an infestation of them under the wash house...I swear, every other night at about 4AM I had to go and rescue a camper from a millipede in the toilet stall. UGGGHHH. I ALWAYS, ALWAYS examined my sleeping bag before getting in it.

-Childbirth/Pregnancy. This is nothing against you moms, because frankly, you're tougher women than I am, and it's a tough job that someone has to do. I really don't get the whole, "it's sooo beautiful!" sentiment. It looks like it's hard work, and painful. Episiotomy? OUCH. And then there's the waterbirth thing...I get why people do it, but at the same time..all the blood and etc that comes out, and then the baby, and then the afterbirth, and it's all just floating around in there? Ugh no thanks. I also don't get the filming of the birth/ the "Baby Story" shows. Do people really go back and watch this afterwards? "Oh look honey, this is when you told me you hated me! Look how sweaty and gross you were".
