Remy was MUCH better to me on a number of levels

ITA...much better lyrics, instrumentation and overall consistency compared to many folks out there. I don't know why he gets compared to Jon B., except for being white. Their music is totally different (Jon B. has more of a ghetto-soul appeal).
And Maroon 5 and John Mayer's stuff is nice too.
But the best-blue eye soul singers to me are:
Average White Band with Hall and Oates a close second.

In the '80's I used to like George Michael & Phil Collins.
I don't know if this girl counts or not, but ever since Making the Band 3, I cannot get JoJo's "Leave (Get Out)" out of my head.
I know this person doesn't count, but this is the closest thread that I could find to post it in - I have been jammin' to Martha Municci's The Best is Yet to Come album on a daily basis ("Glorious" is my favorite). She sings Gospel, but I almost fell out of my seat while watching the Stellar Awards because I did not know that she was of the Caucasian persuasion. She sounds like a sista.

Who you telling? LOL
I went to a "Sisters in the Spirit" concert featuring Yolanda Adams, Juanita Bynum, Sheila E. and Martha Munizzi. You could've bought me for a penny when I saw the life-sized portrait of her at the entrance of the venue. I turned to my friend and said "Harpo, who dis here white woman?"
She brought the house DOWN!

Maroon 5
Robin Thicke
John Mayer
James Blunt
I love them all. I esp. love Adam Levine as a 'solo' artist as well.

I thought Robin Thicke was cute. Until I saw the Soul Train awards and realized he looks exactly like his father.
I was also bothered by the Justin Timberfake routine.

YES HE DOES! With that long head. But his music is wonderful. Very soothing after a long day's work.

Cosign! In the "Lost Without U" video, there's the part near the end when he's smiling and singing right into the camera. It's a total spitting image shot!
I also love most of the artists everyone's been mentioning, namely my "J Crew" boys (and future ex-husbands ) John Mayer, James Blunt, and Justin Timberlake. I'm also feelin' Maroon 5, Matchbox 20, JoJo, Joss Stone, P!nk, X-Tina, and Carrie Underwood.
My "old school" mentions: Lisa Stansfield, Annie Lennox (w/ and w/o The Eurythmics), Celine Dion, Bonnie Raitt, Simply Red, George Michael, Boy George (w/ and w/o Culture Club), Elton John, Paul Young, Robert Palmer, Michael Bolton (a lot of people hate on him, but I've always been a {kinda} fan), Go West, Steve Winwood, Phil Collins (w/ and w/o Genesis), Peter Gabriel, Sting (w/ and w/o The Police), U2 (Bono was a brutha in another life ), Michael McDonald (w/ and w/o The Doobie Brothers), Teena Marie, Hall & Oates, Steely Dan, Taylor Dayne, etc.
I'll also throw Clay Aiken into the mix (don't laugh {lol}; baby boy has a powerful voice).

Yes I've seen it, and I'm not surprised that I almost know half those songs by heart! If my daughter could watch that every day, all day, she would.
