I need to find a new dress. Mine is ugly beyond belief and is slowly fading from white so some god-awful off-white in some areas. Will be shopping today.
If you go to the For Sisters Only site, there is a link that shows you what clothing is appropriate (with picture samples) and what a white dress should look like (again, pictures included). It's very helpful.
I still have absolutely no idea what to dress up as for the Confirmed Conventionite dinner. Mike said I should go as Lucille Ball since I'm a HUGE I Love Lucy fan but I'd have to fork over money for a 50's dress and I'm already spending lots of money elsewhere.

I think if you can't find a celebrity outfit you should just dress GLAM.

I don't really have glam either, I just donated all the formal dresses I have to a charity called "Prom for a Princess". Bah, I'm getting down the whole celebrity outfit thing since I really don't have anything to wear & don't have money to buy anything.
I didn't find the link for the white dresses, but I checked w/ LO (who is slated for President!!!!) & she said the white skirt/blouse is OK.

I'm going to dress glam, I guess. I have lots of pretty dresses I have yet to wear that I bought on sale last year. I'll pick one of them & go all out with lots of blingy stuff and maybe I'll toss in a feather boa. LOL!
I just bought this dress to replace my ugly old white one. What do you guys think? I'm a bit worried about the slit in the front. The dress is below my knee so it's not tasteless in the least but what do you guys think? Will it be o.k. or not? I bought it in white and should arrive later this week.

I think the dress is super appropriate Bebe! I'd only be worried about being cold without sleeves, the slit should be fine since its not wide open!

I'm looking for a white cardigan right now. I hope to find one that will cover my arms & shoulders.
Thanks for the input!

In my experience, being too cold during ritual is a non-issue even with AC because of the number of bodies all in the same room. I always had the opposite problem. To each her own.

I keep having nightmares I am going to get stuck in Dallas-Forth Worth (where my layover is). Not a place I would like to spend any longer than I have to.

I have similar nightmares! My layover is in Dallas-Forth Worth too! Are you on American Airlines by any chance? Maybe we'll be on the same flight to Palm Springs!?
I replied to your PM Bebe!

I think the dress looks great! In fact, it is so good you could probably actually wear it for other things! (Pretty impressive for a white dress!)

I also am dreading the DFW airport! I tried so hard to work my flight around that airport, but just couldn't get it to happen! Hopefully there won't be so many SK's delayed there that they have to move opening ceremonies to the airport!

I'm sooo excited! Well, not for the flight! I will have to get up at like, 5:30 and won't land in Palm Springs until after 2!
