Yep, that's sort of been my pet project for the last few years. The one group that's maintained their badges/badge tradition, is having a bit of a time having theirs re-struck. They have x amount of badges, which get past from big-little, but some have been lost/damaged/not given. They'd like for everyone to have one, so they've got to hunt down someone who is willing to make a small strike of them (less than 500).
I keep trolling E-bay in the off chance that one might pop up. I accidentally found a very beautiful pin of another Otterbein sorority, bid on it, and lost . I was so excited because I knew the girls would have been super happy to have it back, but alas. I'm hoping that after 85 years, someone, somewhere, has their badge still tucked away.

I'd say the SK badge is about the size of a guy's thumbnail. I'd have to compare it though. I think it's too wide at the bottom for mine.

Did you check in Pittsburgh? I think there are specialty jewelers in the Clark Building who might do stuff like that.

The Kappa badge is 1" in length (that's specified in our bylaws) and about 3/8" wide. My husband's ATO badge is 1/2" square. In fact, I'm wearing my two Kappa badges and an ATO badge right now because I have to help out with initiation and won't have time to go home and change.

9/16" tall and 5/8" wide...I wasn't sure either but I was positive some of the sellers on eBay would've measured it.

lol, but you see, I'm a typical girl in this respect and that means nothing to me .. I'll have to find a ruler.
OK, found one and it's bigger than my thumbnail.
So, boy's thumbnail size

I have an A Xi quill from 1912 and it's even smaller than the ones worn now. It's maybe an inch long.

I just checked our website, and unfortunately, there aren't any photos of some of the original Adelphean pins. There's one photo in our New Member Manual that shows an antebellum Adelphean with her badge on a hair ribbon - it has to be at least 4" long!! Now, our diamond is about an inch long.

From what I got in Baird's the badge was the same design except instead of saying ADPi they said Adelphean so imagine the badge being large enough to fit that...
Unfortunately, no pictures

Many times early Badges/Pins were smaller as to cut cost.
As time evolved, Badges/Pins were standardized for size.
Many NIC have/had sweet heart Badges that were smaller.
Some just plain some with gems. There depending on the GLO were an assorment of gems that could be used and where on the Badge/Pin.
Check out GLO sites and see the different distinctions as it were.
Some stay plin, and some are Bling-Bling as some call them!
