OMG I AM SO EXCITED BECAUSE HEROES DIDN'T SUCK TODAY! THANK YOU GOD FOR Takezo Kensei AKA "ADAM" !!! YAY!!!!!!!!! I actually yelled at the TV like 50 times just like I used to when Heroes was good. I'm soooooo excited! I let out the longest blood curdling scream when Takezo Kensei revealed himself to be Adam. YES! I was telling everyone that if this episode sucked that I wouldn't be tuning in for the next one but they totally started delivering again! Words can not express my joy right now! Now we all need to work on ending the writer's strike since that can delay further seasons! YAY! Thank you God for perking up my dull week!

I agree that last night's episode was much better than previous ones this season.
When Hiro first met Kensai (aka Adam) at the beginning of the season, didn't Kensai introduce himself as something other than Kensai? Did he introduce himself as Adam, and so last night's epi just connected the dots more clearly for us? My memory for these details is pretty bad!

this is what I am mad about....
That Hiro had the ability to go home all along but hung around long enough to get Kensai's myth (or legend) moving along....I was hoping for a little bit more along that story line and I THOUGHT that he didn't have as much CONTROL on how to move back and forth along time lines...so what happened?

My $.02 is that "Adam" was never really Takezo Kensai. Bob told Nathan that "Adam" had been imprisoned somewhere but that a week or two ago, he escaped. Maybe "Adam's" imprisonment in ancient Japan had to do with Hiro's father's power and his death.
And since "Adam" seems to be able to heal like Claire, I would think that he is also a potential cure for the "Shanti Virus."

I think he was in fact Kensei, he's just like Wolverine: Theoretically he could live forever as his body will keep healing itself.
I totally called the whole Adam/Kensei thing while watching this week I'm feeling proud of myself.

well now we also gotta be able to explain how he managed to show up in the present with peter...did he survive the explosion and live all this time or could he also time travel like Hiro?
I got money saying that Adam is also behind the killings of the superpowered elders.
Also I am starting to notice how some of the people who are getting whacked or in danger of getting whacked are all connected to the youger people who are now just discovering they have powers.
Hiro's father - what was his ability?
The Petrelli's mom - what are her powers outside of the fact she can tell when someone is in her head?
What about Linderman?
What about Micahs cousin and I wonder if his great aunt has abilities too...?

Linderman could regenerate things. There was a scene last season where he touched a dying flower and it reblossomed.
No idea what the other elders powers were/are...I wish they would elaborate on that.

I <3 Sark so I'm stoked that Kensei/Adam is a bad boy!!!
What bugs me is that I'm still questioning if Mama Petrelli really has the power of persuasion. Peter can absorb powers whether he's aware of it or not. Yet, we've never seen him use her power against any one. There was a scene or two last season where you could maybe argue that he pursuaded Mohinder to tag along to find Isaac but that's all. Wouldn't he have been able to convince the Irish thugs to let him go if he really had that ability?

Good point. Mama Petrelli's not always successful herself. Plus I don't know if he knew of his mom's powers. At first he had to concentrate to use the powers. Then apparently he was bagged and tagged by the company who may have helped him train his powers to be more instinctive. That said, if they didn't know of that power, maybe it was never trained?
Either that or they've misled us about Mama Petrelli

But he wasn't aware of Claire's or Nathan's abilities. Or any of Sylar's before he instinctively tapped into them. I want Mama P to have the power but I'm waiting for the writers to pull a fast one and be like "No, no where would you get that idea? She really has the power to shoplift anything bigger than socks without getting caught! It's those pesky socks that get her into trouble."

LOL.
I may have to dig back through the comics to see if there's anything official there.
Ok, from wikipedia (although it is lacking a citation there)

In an interview with Tim Kring, it is revealed that Mrs. Petrelli does indeed have a power, but refused to share just what the power is. He only said that she can get from place to place in a much more efficient way than Nathan can It is unknown when this power will be revealed to the audience.

Teleporter?
Another suggestion from the Talk page is clairvoyance. Peter's dreamed things before and I don't think we've found out where those dreams are coming from. Unless of course this is only Isaac's power in it's fulfilled form, and drawing/painting is just a crutch. Or maybe that was Daddy Petrelli's power. However the comics show Daddy meeting Linderman and being shocked at Linderman's powers so perhaps Daddy has no powers?
AAAH they better not end this season early!

I think Mrs. Petrelli hinted to Nathan and/or Peter in the first season that their father did have a power...but we don't know what it was.
I could be wrong about that, but I thought it happened after Peter returned from Texas.

Interesting article about Tim Kring, the creator of Heroes, acknowledging some of our complaints about the season - new characters, slow pace, etc.
