HURRAY!!! Welcome to the family!!! I am so excited to have a Phi Mu ending!!
In July, on my plane ride home from convention, I met a woman whose daughter is in that chapter. I have no idea what her name is, but I think the woman said her daughter is a junior.

Dum questiontime again for BamaDad DZ. What do you technically call a young lady who accepted a bid. Obviously she is no longer a "pnm". Is she a "nm", or is she a "pledge". I need a name to use when talking to BamaDaughter DZ, particularly when kidding her (have to work on keeping these high-flying DZ ladies modest, you know).

Phi Mu's call their new members Phis. I believe ADPi calls them Alphas? Some sororities have actual names for their new members, in place of calling them "pledges". Most of the time they are just New Members.

BamaDad DZ
Delta Zeta's call them New Members...and pretty much everything that they do is affiliated to that, New Member Service and New Member Meetings. There are some chapters that have little nicknames for them like "Baby Turtles" or they may name their New Member (Pledge)class (all the girls that just got in with your daughter) something cute like the "CutieGamma Class"
The nickname thing varies from chapter to chapter. Delta Zeta calls them New Members because they are welcomed as a member of the chapter although not yet initiated. We like to think of it as a little more PC as we arent requiring them to continue "pledging" of themselves in a negative way.
Did any of that make sense?
