sigmadiva,
that is a Post that can be taken to heart and understood.
But, it is not only relegated to the Divine 9 but to all Greek Social Organizations.
True?

Why not? Some NPHC-ers seem to want to know about NPCs.

my organization is secretive because we choose to be. nothing more nothing less. you guys being open is your own prerogative. i don't understand why people are so nosy.

If you didn't want to divulge the info, many of us wouldn't keep pushing the issue.

Nooooo, we're going to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he meant Black economics. Black economics are ALL OVER this thread.
Get it?

It was interesting information to read, but really it all has no significant meaning to me because I am not a Chi O.
The decisions of why we do things in our org and what they mean are FOR MEMBERS ONLY and not the public. I would hope that many of you would understand that by now.

You completely contradict yourself in this post. You say that why we do things in our org and what they mean are FOR MEMBERS ONLY and not the public. Yet you publically admit that you read what was allegedly another orgs. secrets. So the whole FOR MEMBERS ONLY thing only counts when its someone else wanting to know about a group, but its ok for you to know about another?

i assume you didn't read the part about someone else putting the information on the web. in no way does her discretion have ANYTHING to do with whatever someone else wants to do with their lack thereof. if you all weren't so open and indiscrete about your secrets and/or processes, then stuff like this wouldn't happen.
it's not her fault that SOMEONE ELSE put another org's secrets on the web. i don't think she was being all nosy and asking for it. the information was already PROVIDED TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC BY A THIRD PARTY. so i'm lost as to where you're not getting it.
and what the hell does she knowing about someone else's org have to do with you know about hers? they're not the same thing.

So one former member that posts the information is indicative of a systemic lack of concern about secrecy in your mind?

not always, but the fact that that former member lacked discretion means we have to. focus on the rest of the post.
and don't pretend that people not in the nphc are more open with their processes and other esoteric information that would be privy to members had it been mine. this site is evidenced of that.

Again... you've lost me...
lifesaver was extolling the poster to exercise discretion in not revealing anything they may have learned, and lamenting their lack of respect for another org's secrets...
As for non-NPHC orgs being more open with their secret... I think you're a little off the mark - there are different levels of secrecy and knowledge, what someone sees on the outside is not an indication of the secrets they learn when they have taken the oaths... there are many things that can be discussed with those on the outside - but many more that are known only to those within.
