I thought the Dr. Doolitte 2 sndtrk. was decent too. Rearview Mirror (Alicia Keys) and Makin' Me Feel (Angie Stone) are my joints. The one with Next and Lil' Zane is a good party one.
What song/video I'm really liking right now is Used To Love by Keke Wyatt, that girl that sang on My First Love with Avant.

The Blu Cantrell CD is a mixed bag with some jazzy, swing-type music and some nice slow songs. There are a couple of standouts on there, too, like "'Til I'm Gone" (WHOA, this song is tight!!) and number 6, I think it's called "I'll Find a Way." I didn't really get this impression from her first single but she can SANG!

I am loving Alicia Keys, Jagged Edge, Janet Jackson's new cds.
By the way if you have seen Miss Janet perform live. . .you are really missing a treat. I had the pleasure of attending her show in Detroit last night and it was the BOMB!!!!. . . I would recommend this tour to anyone. 112 did a decent job as well.

Has anyone heard this song, I guess it's new, by Lisa "Left Eye" "Arsen" Lopes.
The song is kind of strange. It reminded me of a skittles commercial. You know like, you want to say "Taste the Rainbow" at the end. Heck, I thought it was a radio commerical. I was like..."Dayum, this is a long a___ commercial."

The date I have heard was tentatively sometime in October. Her last album was released under Arista, but I am not sure what label she is on now...she did the Dr. Doolittle soundtrack for J. records (Clive Davis' new label) so maybe she will be with J.
If she is changing labels expect a delay!
Have y'all ever heard of a female rapper/singer named Mystic? I bought her CD yesterday and I am feeling it. I think the song she has out now is called "The Life" but she is on an independent label, so she isn't getting alot of industry hype.
BLU, BLU, BLU! LOL

FY'all'sI,
A LOT of Def Jam/Def soul albums are slated to drop before the new year, and this would include:
Ludacris: "Word of Mouth" - October
Musiq Soulchild - 11/6,
and Kelly Price - Nov/Dec.
Also, Jay Z and DMX are scheduled to drop on the same day (as Michael Jackson too, ) - 9/25, but I would bet that one or all of them will shift their dates.
Had to edit to add that someone asked when Mary J. is coming out...8/28. (I am STILL boycotting the drama-free Mary though!)

MJ's CD will be titled "Invincible."
Ideal08, since you shop @ MediaPlay, ask them about reserving CD's...
Also, Jay Z is supposed to have MJ featured on a song on "The Blueprint," his new disc.
Angie Stone's CD is still scheduled for October, BTW, but I am told now that this will depend on the success (or lack thereof) of her new single, "Brotha."

GIRL I love love love love I'll Find A Way. I bought the CD a few hours and have listened to that song 3 times. I understand that song because I have lived that song.
Overall I am definitely pleased with this purchase.
LibraSoul thanks for the recommendation

No doubt!
You know what, the more I listened to the CD, the more I liked "I'll Find a Way," too! I also like number 9 (don't remember what it's called), and "10,000 Times"...the chorus...so true... But then again because I'm probably better off!
What do you think of "'Til I'm Gone"?
