I waited to read this since I have class now on Wednesday nights and had to get the boyfriend to tape it. I think it was interesting as well that the episode was about life support right now, I wondered when they taped this ... had to be before tons of national attention was brought to the case.

At least it looks like it's got another season to go... that would probably cover the years 1965-66.

Nice of 'em to pay a little tribute to the late astronaut Gus Grissom by having J.J. meet him. I'm assuming the year was 1965, as they made a reference to Grissom already having flown Gemini 3.

(The unnamed spacesuit company is a thinly-veiled reference to ILC Industries in Delaware, who made the spacesuits for the Apollo missions.)

* Interesting what-might-have been: if Grissom did not die in the Apollo 1 fire in 1967, chances were very good he would have been the one making the first step on the moon.

That's interesting - I thought for sure that it was written in a way that could leave the door open for another season, or not.

I can't believe that Meg ran off, after her father said she can't come home...

I thought Meg mentioned the class of '66 when she graduated, but then again I may be wrong.

If they renew the show, it will be interesting to see Jack's reaction when he finds out that Helen has been helping kids avoid the draft. Both of my parents were opposed the anti-war movement at the time and would have gone nuts had any of us participated. My father is like Jack in many ways-- it is his way, his way is the only way, don't give him any other side to a discussion.

Every once in a while, when they cut to a scene showing the American Bandstand podium, most times it shows (incorrectly) "ab (in the same font as ABC's logo) '64". Whoops! Someone's hitting the stock footage library a little too hard.

Wild-assed guessing on my part that Trey (John Pryor III) was born in 1965 (which would make him (and me) 40 today).

I don't enjoy this show as much as I used to. It seems like it's just gotten too...complicated...or something.
