A NEW HC thread for the NEW YEAR!

HC after this weekend I decided that I must need a pet or something
HC I went out with my friend Ted, my homie Aisha and Ted's coworker who I had been "talking to" for about two weeks now
HC we were flirting hardcore allll night
HC we went to a lil lounge
HC Aisha leaves the table and he starts flirting with me
HC he sorta pulled back for a second and was like "God you're so blah blah blah and umm yeah blah blah and I have been "talking" to Aisha"
HC my response: well you better go talk to her then
HC me and Ted left soon after that (we had been planning to go before ol boy told me about him and my friend)
HC Aisha stayed with him at the club
HC oh it was all so wrong on so many levels
HC she SAW him flirting with me all night, arm around my waist, whispering in my ear, being all kinds of touchy feely, the whole nine yards
HC seeing all this she still stayed with him at the club?
HC I did not know they were talking but she must have seen that something was going on between us?
HC but she still stayed?
HC she never told me they were talking anyway?
HC he KNEW I DID NOT KNOW
HC he had fished around for how much info I had, (something I realize in retrospect) asking me if I knew why she was busy one weekend and couldn't chill
HC I did not know and as I am not a prying kinda person I hadn't asked
HC it didn't seem to be any of my business
HC I GUESS I know where she was now
HC a man is a man is a man, and I am not really all THAT surprised by him being shady, because well, they all are
HC I am however SHOCKED that she is willing to put up with it
HC I am also worried. Self-esteem is important
HC I hope she gets it together and sees right through him
HC unfortunately it is not my place to tell her. She has eyes and a mind to make her own decision. The boy (26 year old boy IMO)looks damn good but if that is more imortant than the fact that he is a liar then there is nothing I could say about it.


HC it is a good thing that Ted and I had planned to leave the place before he told me ANYWAY because after about fifteen minutes of reflecting I was ready to go and tell ol boy about himself
HC that was the alcohol in me though, lol
HC the day after I am not really mad at him anymore
HC I sincerely hope that he and I can be friendly (not friends because I am not friends with liars)
HC I sincerely hope this because I know he really really wanted it
HC it woud be so much fun to see him on a regular basis, if only to reinforce that yes I am fly and poor boy, no part of him will ever ever ever ever ever touch me
HC I would truly find that amusing

HC I need a pet because love from an animal seems to be far more consistent than anything you will receive from the males of our species.

HC I told him that if I was Aisha I would have pushed him down a flight of stairs (as librasoul22 so nicely suggested to me when I told her about it, thanks girl!)

HC obviously he thinks he still has a shot because if he didnt he would leave me alone

HC we were sitting in clinical group today right after coming back from break and our instructor was in the hall speaking with the director...
HC the girls somehow got on the subject of greeks...(out of 8 of us, I am the only black person)...and they were talking about their initiation fees and dues...
HC one of them turned and asked me, "well what about the black sororities?" HC I said, "well, I am not in a sorority, but I'm sure that it's more than $200 (which is what one girl said her initiation fee was).
HC one other girl asked if I ever thought about joining a sorority, and I said "Well, I have thought about it"

HC she has a Chemistry degree from another school, and she said one of her advisors was an AKA and that she told her that AKA didn't accept white women!

HC my clinical instructor told me she is "concerned" about me working full-time and going to school, she is "worried" that I can't handle it.

HC I went to a mostly white private school
HC the black parents always showed up at events overdressed, lol
HC the white parents are in jeans or or casual slacks and the black parents are ALL dressed up at damn near every meeting?
