YAY for a Locke episode next week!
I read a rumor that Claire was going to die tonight, and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.. guess it was wrong.
Do you guys think maybe Ben is the person who put Locke in a wheelchair?

I liked the episode last night, but now I am at the point where I want the show to move along a bit faster. I know it takes time for them to do each episode, but now I'm getting to the point where I want certain lingering issues resolved so we can move on to new ones. I know that the premise of the show is mystery in a mystery, but at some points I think the producers / creators have kinda messed up certain lines of continuity. Just MHO.
I felt that the whole Jack / Claire / their dad connection was a bit 'jump the shark'-ish. I think now they are pulling at random things. But, I too am excited about the Locke episode that is coming up next week.

I kinda expected that to happen - I was surprised at how matter-of-factly it was all presented, though.
But I'm right there with you on the pulling at random things. Example: completely random for Locke to just throw that guy into the Magnetic Force Field thingy. Really didn't see that one coming.

I don't think its so random. I called it a almost a season ago, in the episode when Jack's dad went to the house in Sydney and demanded to see his daughter, and Ana Lucia dragged him away. They had obviously been planting the seeds on for a while before revealing it last night.

I see your point, I forgot about that. But the way they do the show, they leave so much open, that it seems easy for them to insert some conundrum at random.

I can't wait for this Wednesday! We're FINALLY going to see how Locke got in the wheelchair in the first place. Don't know what that's going to add to the storyline but he's still my favorite one on the show so any Locke episode is a good one IMO.

That episode was AWESOME. It completely shocked me when you finally see the scene where John incurs his injury...and then later on, when Ben opens up that door and there that con man is..in a wheelchair. I was !!

I didn't notice the con man was in a wheel chair. I thought he was just tied to a chair.

I thought he was just tied up, too, but I'm not certain. I'll have to head over to TWOP to see what crazy details I missed.
That episode kicked ass.

I just rewatched the tape and he appears to be tied up and all you see are the arms of a chair (you can't actually see wheels of a wheelchair, but then again, the camera does not pan down quite low enough to actually "rule out" wheels being there...and remember that this is "LOST", so this type of angle is likely intentional). But yes, until we can see more in a future episode, it would appear that he is just tied to a regular, garden variety chair with arms.

I had a feeling "man from Tallahassee" was going to somehow be related to Locke -- but I never thought that it was going to be the kidney stealer!
I believe it was "GIVE ME A FREAKING BREAK!" that I yelled at the TV when they showed him.

Locke's Dad...The REAL Sawyer???
I don't know if it has been mentioned already, as I haven't read through all 52 pages of the post, but I am willing to bet the farm that it will turn out that Locke's Dad, Cooper will turn out to be the "real" Mr. Sawyer that was the con artist who was the cause of James Ford's (the cute Sawyer) dad to kill his mom in the flashbacks from season 1.
We know that Sawyer was the name of a con man who had an affair with our Sawyers mom and when his dad found out, he did a murder/suicide thing. This was why our Sayer adopted the "Sawyer" name when he too became a con artist.
Back in Season 2 there was a moment where Sawyer and Locke were walking through the jungle and Locke pointedly said to Sawyer (after he found out Sawyer wasn't his real name) "Why did you pick THAT name?" He asked him twice about it. We all know that NOTHING in the LOST world is left to random Chance, so I am calling it that locke's dad is the REAL Sawyer.
All I know is that when I was watching the show this week, I kept thinking of my vacation to Hawaii next week. March 31st can't get here soon enough!
