I agree that people need to have a sense of humor about themselves, I mean hell even Paris kinda laughed when Sarah was talking about her, but to make fun of some small children who have NO control over the fact that their mother chose to be in the public eye and make a spectacle of herself and have no way to defend themselves is classless.

and I do sometimes find Sarah Silverman funny... just not in this particular instance.

From waht I understand (and totally correct me if i'm wrong b/c i heard this from my friend) but she shaved her head because of the custody battle, because apparently in rehab and through the courts she might have had to get hair testing for drugs. Apparently (again, this is hearsay) they could have taken the kids away if anything showed up....

now, this doesn't quite add up for me, but who knows....

As someone who had hair tests in highschool (private Catholic school), unless someone severely misinformed her, that wouldn't be the reason...it takes less than an inch of hair to hair test, and they can get the hair from ANYWHERE on your body. So, unless she shaved ALL the hair from EVERYWHERE on her body, she couldn't beat a hair test.

The most plausible explanation I've heard is that people who feel like they have no control in their life often do extreme things with their hair/body because it's the one thing they DO have control over.

Yeah, that makes a bit more sense... My friend that told me is in the middle of an AWFUL custody battle where the father basically paid off the judge (it DOES seem awful fishy the way things went down) and so she lost her kids, when the father abuses them, and all of this is on record.
So, my friend was like, i'm going to shave my head so there won't be any reason (even tho she does no drugs at all)... i was like... um why don't you .... not.
So, that reason seems more plausible.

What Kanye says about Brit

(this seems very self serving)

Quote:
NEW YORK - Kanye West blames MTV for Britney Spears' less than stellar performance at the Video Music Awards.

"Man, they were just trying to get ratings, and they knew she wasn't ready and they exploited her," the 29-year-old rapper said Tuesday on Sirius Satellite Radio's "The Morning Mash Up."
The network made a "bad move" by having the troubled pop star open Sunday's event in Las Vegas, said West, who feels he should have kicked off the show with "Stronger," the first single from his new album, "Graduation."
"They exploited her, they played me and I really don't mess with MTV," he said.
Spears, 25, looked unprepared while performing her new song, "Gimme More," to a bewildered audience of her music industry peers. She seemed nervous and, at times, stopped singing altogether.
West said he wanted to perform "Stronger" on the show's main stage — where R&B hotshot Chris Brown wowed the crowd with Michael Jackson-esque dance moves — but complied when he was asked to host a suite party.
West said it was a blow to the ego when Justin Timberlake, who also hosted a suite party, ended up "on the big stage" to give the closing performance with Timbaland and Nelly Furtado.
"Those are the big things, and you know what I do man, I really made the song `Stronger,' you know, for stadiums," he said.
MTV spokesman David French didn't immediately return a phone call from The Associated Press seeking comment.
West — who threw a tantrum backstage after losing all five categories for which he was nominated — said he has bonded with 50 Cent over what they view as disrespectful behavior from MTV.
"So why do you have me do `Stronger' in a suite, but you end the show with Justin?" he said. "I looked at 50 like, yo, we need to help each other as much as possible."
50 Cent has said he'd stop making solo records if West's new album outsells his "Curtis" CD in their first week out. Both albums were released Tuesday.
what's up with the last few lines anyway???

Kanye's a hater on ANYONE who is getting shine that is NOT HIM. and it didnt make a difference where either of them performed... they all got airtime. i mean, i can understand that the hoopla over JT is bit much at times, but MTV went for what would appeal to the masses... and yeah. that wasnt you.

and realistically, if you're up for 5 awards and there are 12 nominees each, isnt that a 1/12 chance that you'll win each time? those odds arent that good, especially when other singles were better than yours. whatever kanye. go hang out with Isaiah, king of not knowing when to shut the eff up.

and seriously, comments like that is why JT is on his high horse.

Didn't Kanye say his losing a racial issue too? I saw more black artists win than anyone else... at least when I was actually watching. I got bored with them showing Kanye's party.

Ok, so granted I didn't watch the actual awards show...but her performance (while not slave 4 u quality of yesteryear) wasn't as horrible as I had heard. Nor was her body...granted she's no longer 18, she's now a mom of two, so yeah, she'll be a little thicker. From what I understand (moms correct me if I am wrong) being pregnant really effs with your body, and chances are you will probably not look like you did in your late teens early twenties pretty much ever again.

If anything, I would have wanted to see her in a less hoochie outfit so she looked like less of a whore for her kids. For a mom of two though, she didn't look bad(bodywise...the outfit was interesting). I've seen women with no kids who have worse bodies wearing the same amount or less - we all have. The only difference is that they are not in the public eye getting criticized for bad clothing choices.

i remember reading reports (you know tmz, etc ) that the day prior she had an argument with K-Fed... he said something like he was going to try to get full custody and if she didn't clean her act up he would order a drug test.... she probably didn't know they could get hair from anywhere and not just her head.

supposedly she did say something about being tired of everyone controlling her and took the razor and went at it... maybe a combination of both?

anyway, her ex-hair stylist was on Access Hollywood... he supposedly also does Eva Longoria's hair and said he was in Vegas to help her for the VMA's but 'chose not to fix her hair for professional reasons.'?

Britney could reportedly see herself in some tv screens during her performance, and yelled "I'm a fat cow" backstage after the performance was over.

What I don't understand is - she had a different outfit (a corset?) that she was supposed to wear... but she decided it wasn't sexy enough so she went out in glitter underwear instead. If she knew she wasn't in the best of shape, why in the hell didn't she wear a corset??? She wore one to the 2004 VMAs.... at least that is what that looked like in the video.

Kanye needs to get over himself and stop being a big baby!!
