you guys will be pretty surprised with the results if you've been following this topic from the beginning to the end....here is my story....

Our rush is totally informal. You go out there and visit as many houses as you want, take part in as many events as you want, and if anyone likes you they'll offer you a bid and if you accept the bid you are a pledge for the fraternity. There are no cuts; you either receive a bid or not. Most guys rush to one particular house though.

Day 1

America

When I checked their table these guys didn't seem very much interested. They were talking amongst their selves and they weren't trying to catch any potential rushees while all the other tables were trying hard to talk to people passing by and handing out flyers. I kept wondering why these guys wouldn't talk to anyone. I didn't see them having any kind of flyer either. I approached them and said "hi" to one of the guys and he just said "hi" and then continued chatting with his friends again.

Australia

These guys were pretty friendly in the tables so I decided to give them a shot first even though they weren't first on my list. When I visited their house I really loved these guys. They don't have the biggest house and they are not about big numbers in the campus but as much as I've seen they are the warmest and they hang out with the cutest ladies as much as i've seen. People are very friendly and I felt very comfortable with these guys. I'll definitely attend to more events of these guys. Even rushees of this fraternity were pretty talkative and nice. I hung out with them for the most of the night. This is my favorite house for the night.

Europe

These guys are great also. I felt comfortable with them and they made sure to treat me nicely. They explained me very well why they are members of this fraternity and it seems like they LOVE the fraternity as well as their brothers. I'll definitely check with them also. I really respect these guys. They have a big house and big numbers. When I went to their house their even was finished though so I was one of the few rushees left there. That was good in a way because I really got to know some of the members since I had some time to talk to them throughly about things.

Asia

When I went to their house they had an extremely loud music and I could hardly talk to anyone. They have a nice and a huge house and friendly people. I couldn't really get to know many people because of the loud music though. I am a kind of person who isn't very talkative when the environment is very loud. I didn't stay in this house for very long but people were totally nice in this house. I'm sure people would have better time at this house if it wasn't too loud, but maybe it's just me.

Africa

These guys are so diverse that it was hard to believe that they were an IFC fraternity. They have an old and big house. Their house was relatively silent and it didn't get much attention that day. Guys were great and they were being honest about some stuff. One of the guys said to me "look, we don't claim to hang out with cutest chicks and we aren't the richest house in the campus, but you'll still love these guys". I liked how honest and upfront these people were.

Day 2

Australia

All the houses had their events at later hours so I decided to visit this house first. They were having a joint event with a sorority in the campus and it was going to be a fun event. It started out fun but I sensed that something was going wrong with the event. The whole event fraternity guys hung out with the sorority girls and rushees hung out with each other. Wasn't the rush about fraternities getting to know rushees and rushees getting to know fraternities? As much as I know it doesn't work if they spend the whole event hanging out with chicks instead of rushees. They were my favorite house at the first day but today they were a little disappointing. It also seems to me like they were inviting cute sorority chicks in their events in order to attract rushees. They made it seem like those girls only hung out with them but in the following days I saw most of those girls in the other houses also, so I'm assuming that these guys aren't very honest about attracting the cutest girls in the campus because those girls were in most houses depending on event anyways. I don't care about that part either. After all I am in a relationship already. I'd still expect these guys not to use girls to attract potential rushees and make it seem like they are the favorite house of girls. They should have also spent more time getting to know their rushees instead of getting to know sorority girls.

America

I just wanted to give these guys one more try despite everyone in the forum said not to. I went to their house and I was so surprised to see how friendly and warm these guys were! They were totally different from how they were in their table. I got to talk to like 10 of them and i LOVED all of them. I'm glad I came to this house and gave it a try. I should still keep an eye on these guys because "Australia" was great on the first night but they weren't that great on the second night. I want to make sure these guys are as great as they are permanently, not just for one night.

Day 3

Australia

They had another event and this time they were even more distant towards their rushees. I don't understand these guys. They were the best guys in the first day but their "performance" keeps declining. I went to their event and there were only 3 rushees so they kept it short and finished the event very quickly. When we asked them questions about the house they gave us quick unsatisfying answers. When you ask one of these guys a question all you'll get is a quick one word answer that leaves you even more confused.In the first day they were much different. I guess they are not happy that number of rushees they have keep declining despite the big number of cute ladies they have in every event. Some of the guys in this house act like they wished rush ended already. If they act this way their numbers will keep declining just like the last 3-4 years. They will become the smallest chapter in the campus if they don't get any recruits. My favorite guy in this house was one of their rushees, ironically. Some of the guys were nice and they were trying hard though. I might visit this house once more, but they are not trying really. It looks like they are tired of the rush already.

Europe

I decided to visit these guys but they weren't having an event at the time I visited them. I didn't care about that though and they earlier told me I could come and hang out with them whenever. These guys were being a little crazy though. They were having fun beating up each other, yelling, screaming and cursing. I guess that's how they have fun. When I entered in the house some people were pretty friendly to me while some others gave me this "what the hell are you doing here" look. I guess those few guys didn't want any guests at times other than rush event times. Guys still asked me to visit them again for their next event so that must be a good sign.

America

They are absolutely the best thing going on in the campus! I love these guys and I'm glad I visited their house and gave them a chance. I don't know why they were so different in their table that day but i'll just say they were having a bad day that day. Guys are very welcoming and they make sure you feel like you are at your own house. Everybody -without exception- is friendly and cool in this house. These guys are have been very helpful in answering any question I have. They don't only give quick answers to avoid you but they give you very well detailed satisfying answers. They never get tired of your endless questions and they never judge you. They don't even need to have sorority girls in their houses to attract rushees and they actually spend time with their rushees, and they try to get to know their rushees. The president of the house is always around and he's always open to questions. There isn't any guy that I don't like in this house. I can tell that they are this great permanently because every time I see them I feel more connected to them.

Day 4

Australia

Today I didn't go to their house but I've seen a few guys wearing their letters in the campus. Even though they recognised me they didn't even bother saying hi. I guess they'll have only 2 rushees from now on but I don't know if they will drop also.

Europe

I didn't go to their house either but I've seen a couple of these guys in the campus and they were pretty friendly. They insisted I should visit their next event and they gave me a flyer. This is my second favorite house so far but the fact that their numbers are so big scares me in a way. I like medium size houses where it's big enough to have fun, but also small enough to get to know everybody. I might still give them a try.

America

My favorite house! I went to their event 45 minutes earlier and stayed 1 hour after the event. Guys are great to hang out with. I feel so connected with this house. Today I saw a new rushee in the house and I said "hey is this guy rushing our house too?" to one of the members. I feel like a part of this house already. I've never seen any girls in this house though. I'm sure they have good relationship with girls though.

Day 5

America

Now this is the only house I'm rushing. If they don't offer me a bid I'll be bidless for the semester. These guys know what a fraternity is about. They aren't all about girls and alcohol. They are into studying and giving back to community as well. They are into all aspects of a fraternity. These guys also look responsible. They treat each other with respect and they keep their house clean. In some houses when I asked a question to the rush chair he would answer like "well you will see" but in this house people are so open and they don't hide anything from you.

Day 6

America

I hung out in their house again. What if I didn't visit their house after that day when I saw them at the table? I think it would have been terrible. In this house people can actually have conversations about things other than how busty a certain sorority chick is, or how drunk someone got the night before. They can talk about basically anything, and that's good. These guys are also into sports and almost everybody in the house is very athletic. This is one of the fat-free houses I think, lol.
