Girl I had to quote your entire post. Let's just say my Kappa husband was not happy. I cannot believe that any member of Kappa Alpha Psi would condone this madness. And could somebody PULEEEEZ tell them that real Kappa men DO NOT WEAR SAGGIN' PANTS AND SHOW THE DRAWS ALL IN PUBLIC I'm still in shock!!

LMAO about visions of doing the riverdance. Yeah, sista girl got off real easy with that one. Had we been not in a public view, I might have had to get real undignified with her.... I think that we as greeks ought to talk about this and inform and educate about the do's and the dont's of wanting to be members.

Sistergreek Abaici made a good point that it's all emulation for the kids. But who in Clarksdale, MS are these kids emulating? I refuse to believe that there is a legitimate advisor in his right mind that would endorse young boys having a "freak show" with whipped cream. Did y'all see one of the names the kid had on that photo page? Just tragic.... A lot of people need their butt whooped really badly.

Thank you, that one is MUCH better! I think the one above was one of the first I found....needless to say I couldn't look any further. I know the KL is a GOOD program, but I didn't want to see ANY MORE websites in fear I may run across this consistently.....OR WORSE!!!! But it's always good to focus on the good and NOT just the bad, thanks for the page, it paints a MUCH better picture of the Kappa League and its programs! I peeped some of the names, [1 P.M., FANTASTY etc.] but that site is SO TRAGIC I would've written a dissertation for real going off on every detail! I could just imagine myself walking into a party sponsored by my bro's group, once he gets in , and seeing that and DRAGGING HIM OUT BY HIS EAR!!! but Abaici, sadly, I'm sure we ALL know who they're emulating, we've seen it before in TOO MANY stepshows. While I don't even condone of it in REAL stepshows, they are grown men, which one of them felt it was ok to have these BOYS do this AT A PARTY WITH ONLY TOWELS ON!?!?!?....AND WHERE ARE THEY BOYS' PARENTS?!

I think we ALL need help on this one. I say we all head down to Clarksdale, MS BELTS IN HAND and just go to work!

I'm not feeling the canes either, but I think that's something that's common among the kappa league.

Sadly, I can think of at least 2-3 kappas who would [THEIR ADVISORS]. I know AT LEAST one of them had to happen upon that page, it is SO not hard to find! And they had to be at the party, or at least have heard about it.

Greeks all! I took the liberty of checking and Clarksdale,MS is not listed in the national directory of Kappa Leagues (sorry guys u need a membership ID to access it). I am a DIE HARD Kappa Leaguer. We did not have line names or kanes (we had staffs). We wore red and black, but we could not do a lot of things.

Nationals dictates:

1) Kappa Leaguers are not allowed to wear or display the Greek insignia, letters or symbols belonging to or associated with Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc.

2) Kappa Leaguers are not allowed to carry canes or use any hand symbols or variations thereof, used by any member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. past or present.

3) The utterance of calls or chants by Kappa Leaguers is strictly prohibited.

4) Kappa Leaguers are not allowed to use the names Playboy, Prettyboy, or Nupe.

5) Kappa Leaguers are not allowed to refer to themselves as being members of a Junior Fraternity or Fraternity.

6) Membership in a Kappa League does not imply the possible or expected acceptance into any undergraduate chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc.
