I volunteer with the troop at the agency where I work and Hubby does the same with the Boy Scout troop that's at our job too. I was a junior GS back in 6th-7th grade until I discovered boys. I missed being in GS so when a troop was formed at my job, I just had to volunteer.
I loved GS cookie time!! That paid for summer camp at Camp Cedar Point (that was the actual name of the GS camp back in MS) for 2 summers! Not to mention having so much fun sneaking over to the Boy Scout camp that was across the lake!! I just paid like $30 for cookies! I love Thin Mints, Tagalongs (the chocolate covered peanut butter things), Somoas, All-Abouts (the cookie with the chocolate on the back), and the Double Dutch cookies. I will sit and eat a whole box during my shift at work!

Cavity Creeps R' Us
*holding up three fingers, wearing my patches* On my honor...
You know I was a girl scout, right? And I loved every minute of it! And my daughter (whenever I get married and have some babies) will be one, too... Yes, I've already decided for her! I cheated, though... I used to give my order sheet to my dad who has always worked in corporate America with lots of folks who worked for him. Needless to say, I always had the chance to go to camp... tee-hee-hee
Favorite cookies: Thin Mints are the bomb and it sho' nuff' looks like my butt, hips and thighs are about to BLOW UP!!!!! Can someone please take this green azz box from me? Save me from myself...

I was a Girl Scout in middle school and I really enjoyed it. My favorite cookies are Thin Mints and Samoas, even though I don't like coconut any other time. LOL.

YUCK
Have they changed the recipe? The thin mints suck this year and last. I bought the Pinatas, they are horrible, thank goodness hubby likes.

I've heard you can freeze them as well.
I know when I hit Sorority meeting, Sorors will be 'bum rushing' us with boxes to purchase. I'll do what I've done for the last few years. I donate them to our tutorial program for the kids' snack.

How much are you guys paying for your cookies? I sold mine for $4.00 a box but other people were selling theirs for $3.00 & $3.50. Shouldn't there be just one price for all troops?

The Girl Scouts is broken up into councils. Each council operates separately under Girl Scouts of the USA. Because of this, each council may not only have different prices for their cookies, they may also offer different cookies. For example, I don't think I saw Pinatas on the order form in DC. Also, Ohio no longer had strawberry or lemon cookies while they still had them in Florida last year.

TO add to this, there are 2 authorized companies (or at least there were about 10 years ago) that manufacture Girl Scout Cookies which is why there can be are different cookies in different councils.
