Well let's see- 100 block area with roads closed off so people cant get to banks, offices, etc, very easily means fewer customers than a usual Thursday and lost income. Lost income is money businesses can't pay in taxes or in purchasing supplies, etc.

if kerry would have won, i am almost certain that streets would have been closed too, and money for security and balls would be just as high. get over it. those protestors on the side of the streets didnt help shorten these road blocks, did they? it looks like its going to get expensive every four years.

this was my first inauguration watch. it was fairly good.
