If I went back to college it would be to pursue a career in the medical field. There is just so much money to be made off of sick people it is not even funny and in doing so I would hope to find a cure for some ailment.

Ugh. I'm not sure.
I was one of those people who returned to college to obtain my degree after working several years. I was so excited and raring to go and was sure that the second time around would be the charm because I finally knew what I wanted to do and I was so focused.
Unfortunately, the real world intruded on my plans and put a damper on things. I ran into some totally unexpected financial setbacks and struggled like heck. The stress and crazy schedule took its toll too. I have to admit that sometimes I said to myself, "Why the heck did I think going back to school would be such a great idea?"
I love learning for the sake of learning and would go to school indefinitely and obtain degree after degree, as long as I didn't have money to worry about. Otherwise, being out of school can be so much better!

I miss the activities- they provided for plenty social life and networking.
I miss some classes- especially the people.
I'm talking mainly about library school at USF. I do not miss UF at all, other than the many friendmaking opportunities it gave me.

I have fond memories of college --mostly, the people I met, but I still would not want to do it over again. It was fun while it lasted. I can still remember the last semester of my senior year when I just wanted to be done with college finally. No thanks!

I graduated 2 years ago and I kinda still miss it but I agree with everyone else about moving on. I no longer know like the majority of the collegiate actives in the chapter. Its amazing how much time flies and how much things change in time. But I have a different problem that many probably don't have. I can't seem to quit going to school. I love to learn new things and theres always some program that I want to get into or something. Make it stop!!!! hahaha but I miss the social aspect of my college days. I'm probably going back to my college to help with rush next year, but a lot can happen between now and then. Anyway I feel ya OP!

I miss the social aspect and the energy that I had in those days. I wish I could function now on as little sleep as I could function on then!

I definitely miss college. Since my 2nd semester Freshman year at University of Maryland I tried to charter a chapter of Pi Delta Psi. The process took 3 years and it finally happend Fall 2004. I've been out of college for 2 years now. When I go back to visit it makes me miss college a lot because I never had the chance to experience "greek life" in the traditional sense. At least now I know a chapter has been established at my former school and I'll always have people to visit.

I miss it like crazy! I'm a second year med student now, and this university doesn't have a Sig Kap chapter. I made it back to my alma mater to help with recruitment this year, but even that was sad, because it's the last time for at least six years that I'll be able to do it. Okay, this is depressing me...

Not really. I'm in grad school now and find that I don't have the time or the desire to do all the stuff I used to do. No biggie.
