Ok, so after thinking about this, I decided to sit down and count all of my current crushes.

It's almost embarassing to admit..... 6!!! And I'm not counting the few that I would probably crush on if I saw them or talked to them more often.

Do ya'll think this is bad?

No. Sew those oats!

I want to say I actually really like being single right now... Honestly. I was in two really long realtionships back to back, with only 3 1/2 months in between them. They were great, but it's nice to have all this time for myself, for my friends, and not have to worry about someone else. It hasn't been long since my last bf and I broke up (like 4 months), but I like this new state. My current goals are not relationship focused at all. Although I am hoping to meet enough people to get a better idea of what kind of person I will look for, once I start looking.

I have a very funny "single and proud" story for you girls.

I had a second date with the rude boy on Saturday (see other thread). I don't know why I decided to have a second date with him, other than sometimes he was nice, and sometimes he wasn't, and I wanted to know if the rudeness was due to nerves (it's not btw). We had a date planned for Saturday, and he called at 2:00 to cancel and reschedule for the next day because he was not feeling well. I didn't mind much because I was a bit tired, and needed time to write.

At 10:00 on Saturday, rude boy calls to "get his date back". What happened to being sick? Well, after a nap the hangover got better. Imagine that! Oddly, I agree to drive up to the city to meet him, since I live 45 min south of San Francisco, and he lives in the east bay. While I am looking for parking, he calls to say there is major traffic over the bay bridge, and he is going to have to go north to Marin, and over the Golden Gate. This will take him 30-40 minutes. I find parking, and decide since all the coffee shops are closed I might as well go into a bar. As I am walking through a crowd in a bar, I meet the most gorgeous boy ever. We start talking, and I meet is friends. I swear I know them from somewhere, but there isn't any way I have met any of them before. We have a fun conversation and hang out. I get his number (score!!), right after my date calls to say he has found parking. On my way out of the bar, I see a friend from college who is back from his 2.5 week trip to Russia.

I go to another place with my date, and things are going well... until the Cute Boy comes in with his friends! Whoops! From my short conversation, I already know I like Cute Boy better than Rude Boy, so I don't want him and his friends to notice I am on a date. I excuse myself to the bathroom for cover. Rude Boy leaves the bar (and he left my drink that I bought because he had no cash at the bar too ) . In line for the bathroom, I meet this odd girl. She is amusing, and says I must meet her friends. The night has been totally odd so far, so I go for it. She tells Rude Boy that she is going to borrow me for a few minutes. I go along, and figure out that while the odd girl is amusing, her friends aren't. Rude Boy comes by to yell at me for not talking to him, and I rope him into a conversation in hopes of getting out of there soon (although I feel better about talking to a group of mixed gender -- from across the bar Cute Boy couldn't think I was on a date, right?).
As I am trying to signal to Rude Boy for an exit, the odd girl's male friend suddenly started to insult me. I thought he was odd, and probably high, so I didn't pay him any attention. Rude Boy did pay attention, and got so pissed he started a fight. After a few blows, security came and kicked him out of the bar. I had run into a corner after the first blow, and after the hubbub died down a bit followed him out.

Well, at least I was out of the bar. As we are trying to decide where to go, my college friend calls to invite us to come over to the other bar and chat. Rude boy doesn't care at this moment, and we go. I ended up driving my college friend home, and sent Rude boy back to the east bay solo.

The entire night was funny. I will tell you girls if the cute boy agrees to go on a date.

What a BAD ASS single story!!!!! That was awesome! Keeping my fingers crossed for you and Cute Boy.

So my most recent crush is 20 years old... why am I not surprised? So far he's a sweet guy though.

On another crush note- My NY guy said that he wants me to come visit him! He is checking for weekends that he has free (he doesn't always get to leave campus on the weekends). We tried this last spring, but could never find a good time. I'm REALLY hoping that it works out this time cause I would so love to see him!!!!

Being single is probably the most expensive times of my life...I've spent more money in the past four/five months than in the entire year and a half of my last relationship. I love being single, but damn I think I might have to get a second job just to support my bad habits.

What bad habits? Come to think of it, I spend a lot of money too... last night I shelled out $30 for drinks since my date had no cash. I dont' mind buying, but not having cash is faux pas. It's like he was trying! *shakes head* I'm going to go spend my cash on nicer boys.

I feel like the people in this thread are trying to prove something and it's all indicative of some big hole inside of you that none of you are capable of filling.

I'm sorry all of you that you feel empty like this.

I have a lot of respect for girls that reah into their pocketbooks and spend money on their dates. Especially when they are honestly generous, and don't feel bad about it.

Nothing worse than people that appear stingy.

But honestly, 30 dollars on a date is nothing to a guy. 30 would be a cheap night out. Movie dates cost more than 30 dollars.

Oh. How to recognize a girl is stingy:

She says things like: "Do you need help with that (check)?"

"Do you need me to put something in?"

"lets get a drink" (But doesn't pay)
