Hypocrisy
The practice of professing beliefs, feelings, or virtues that one does not hold or possess; falseness.
An act or instance of such falseness.
Considering the recent "hell" I caught over a stupid e-mail...this thread reveals that two sets of rules exist on GC! To be so filled with hate and wish someone harm is repugnant. To pontificate on one thread and abandon those very rules of conduct on another is indicative of either self serving behavior or a chaotic thought process.
I was in Dallas after Kennedy was killed and saw people passing out cigars. Great image to carry with you the rest of your life.
To those who carry on debate with dignity, respect and clarity, I applaud you as debate is a powerful tool to spark creative thought. To those who flip flop (no pun intended) on
rules of decorum, remember that "impertinence" is not a quality people often respect.
Philosophy and logic classes might help some align their value system.
Good luck to you guys!
Special thoughts to my PM buddies. Even though we don't always agree, I love you all.

Strong thoughts to ponder.

Thank you JAM. People should definitely pay attention to what you're saying here. I've been guilty of taking a little too personal a tone a few times (sorry to Canadians and would-be draft dodgers) -- I just get carried away on certain things.
The tone in these threads (and others) has always been a little too "attackish". It seems folks would rather stand on their soapbox than discuss something.
But a thread laughing at the President of the United States suffering an injury is without question lacking in decorum. I tuned this thread out a long time ago -- came back and found this refreshing post. Thanks JAM!

Don't bow your head and apologize when you've done nothing wrong.

Why is this thread continuing?
The scar has healed, and I'm sure Bush has forgotten all about it...

If, because of this, JAM abandons GreekChat, it will be too bad. Even when she disagreed, she did it with dignity (and, dare we say, class?)
