I just came back from Orlando and was sharing my hotel experience with one of my friends. She informed me that your Boule would be held in Orlando this year. So here is my warning...

DO NOT STAY AT THE RAMADA ON JOHN YOUNG PARKWAY!!!! The service was horrible. The staff is not attentive at all. They have this type of 'attitude' that is indescribable (sp?) They are also not very professional so if you are expecting a certain type of service and etiquette, this is not the place to be. While I was there our toilet had 'issues' BUT it was fixed in a timely fashion. The only saving grace about the hotel was that it was close to the highway and accesible to other highway routes. Also be prepared to pay tolls in Orlando. There are probably other ways in which you can get around without having to pay tolls but my friends and I got caught more often than not.

On a positive note....

There are lots of nice restaurants and loads of places you can go to buy souvenirs (sp?) There is an outlet mall I believe on International Drive that is to die for!!!!! So bring plenty of money

. International Drive seems to be the major street for lots of hotels, restaurants and other activities. If you want to go to the parks they are all close by.

So that is my piece of info that I tought I would share.

Okay I am planning to attend BOULE as we speak, got the hotel reservations, need flight info, but I guess I should pay for the conference registration

So who is still going? ...where are you staying (private email if don't want to say publicly) ...also how much are you seeing flights for ...I, of course am coming from NYC .....

Just purchased air tix last week ($132 pp from Chicago via Southwest), sending my registration $$ this week! We're staying (my hubby, brother, sister-in-law and myself) at a property on I-Drive, close to the convention center.

I am very excited to meet all my sorors, and any friends who might be in the area...who's planning our gathering???? I'll be on the committee!

a couple of us sorors are trying to put together a Social for Boule. Soooooooo, if there are any of you out there who have planned/hosted a social and or are interested in working on this with us, please email me ASAP so we can get started on this. There is much to do and not a lot of time to do it. Also, if you are planning on attending, the gathering, please email me ASAP. I don't know about other sorors, from me and another sorors planning at the SARC we had soror RSVP which was a TREMENDOUS help when it came to party favors, so I need to have you all let me know that you are planning to attend. Also, extend the invitation to sorors who are not on GC and make sure to send in their names as well. I think that we should cut off the RSVP list sometime in June, (possibly the last week in June) in order to give the restaurant/caterer/ etc. ample time to prepare sufficient food. I know soror Discogoddess is down

. I know they had an awesome time at the SARC social, as I arrived to late to attend but my roomie/host plugged me in on the happennings of the evening........

SORORS REMEMBER....IF YOU PLAN ON ATTENDING....YOU NEED TO TRY TO SEND IN YOUR INFORMATION THIS WEEK. AFTER THE 15TH YOU HAVE TO TACK ON EXTRA LOOT....and you know you could use that money for some pari (or nalia....as some say).

I'm definitely down for a mixer.....I'll help as much as I can Soror Disco!

Hey...is anyone attending the leadership conference on Saturday? Let me know...maybe we can meet up for lunch and then go over.
