Districe I 2/4-6/5

Anyone from GC in district I? Last time I went to "district" was when I was in college.

I am the new Recruitment Advisor for ZH ADPi. I hope to learn new things to help the chapter during recruitment, but, it would be fun to meet someone that I see on gc everyday.

Have fun, ADPiConniebama! I'm looking forward to seeing HBADPi (and any other GCers that are going) at District 6 DLC the end of February!

WOW financial - hard job. The closest I got to the financial side of ADPi was paying my bill, other then that I stayed on the recruitment side.

But, if I can speak for all of the girls in your chapter thank you for your hard work.

I hope the weather is pretty. I am sure "hotlanta" can't can't compare with the temp of Jacksonville, FL.

Anyway it would be cool to run into you. I will be the old lady (33) with the ZH (UNA) girls. I will look for the Jacksonville crowd. But, I will most likely only see your recruitment people and my weekend roomie will see you (she is the fvp advisor of zh adpi)

If I don't see you have a great time.

As sad as this is since DLC isnt exactly a vacation type event, I'm really looking forward to it. All the girls are excited and they just ordered these really cute tshirts for everyone who's going. I swear I've never seen a chapter that has cuter recruitment/sisterhood/mixer shirts than Zeta Alpha. Which reminds me, they are bringing some left over shirts to DLC to exchange or sell to the other chapters, but if any of you want shirts let me know because the girls have decided to start fundraising to expand their house from one floor to two and one of their ideas for raising money is selling left over event tshirts to other sisters at other chapters. The RVP is going to start taking pictures of the shirts so once I have some pics I'll be sure to post them if anyone is interested.

(chuckles) Ahem, what kind of conflicts with the SuperBowl does your chapter have? (No offense intended, really, just strikes me as humorous...) Until last year, District 3 had *always* had DLC on/about Valentine's Day. Talk about "conflicts"! WHOA! This one had dinner plans w/her boyfriend, that one had plans to go to see her guy at his school... (then there were the ones I had w/ ex-Mr.F&F...)

Will anyone be attending DLC for District 3 this year (2/25-2/27)? I just found out I will be going! This is my 2nd year as Finance Advisor and 1st as Standards. Was Chapter for a number of years, so gave up my spot to a new advisor, but she can't make it. (Our chapter budgets for 2 advisors.)

Will any ALUMNAE out there in D-3 be going to DLC for the Alumnae Association Training being held on SUNDAY?? I'm staying for that, too!!

Ah yes I almost forgot about that. That was a conflict back in the day as well. When I went junior year it was a mess. A good friend of mine (and most of the chapter's) passed away. His wake was on 2/14 and funeral on following day the 15th (same as the first day of D3 conference). Several of us who wanted to pay our respects went down to Pittsburgh on Thurs, the rest of the districts party who wasnt going picked us up after hte funeral on Friday and we drove straight down to Baltimore after that. Although I really didnt want to go considering the circumstances, it was a great escape from everything and things were so hectic and chaotic that you didnt think about it. Valentines + losing a friend + district conference...crazy time.

Sidenote, the chapter I advise has decided not to have chapter meeting on monday 2/14 this year because they dont think anyone will attend so instead they are having an informal meeting the sunday before where if people dont show they have to come later in the week and help clean the house.

There are a number of girls that have prior obligations regarding the Super Bowl. It is a big hassle for some of them. Actually, there is not enough room for everyone to go to North Carolina, so we have to be split in half. One group is going to GA next weekend and the other is going to NC the weekend of the 25th.

When I read it the first time I figured you meant they have conflicts with the Superbowl because they will be partaking in it some way...am I correct? The Superbowl is in Jacksonville this year....so I figured the conflict was not in watching the Superbowl on television (party, etc), but actually partaking in the event itself! Correct me if I am wrong!

Interesting. The chapter I advise also decided to cancel Chapter Meeting 2/14, but w/out rescheduling... Glad I'm no longer Chapter Advisor!

Anyone out there going to DLC for D3??

GREAT TIME @ DISTRICT I CONFERENCE

WOW, WOW, WOW

Just got back from my first DLC in FOREVER (like10 years) and I forgot all of the information that floats around that place.

I had such a great time. I would love to hear some stories from other DLC I girls. I got so much more out of it as an advisor and wow all of the meetings and just meeting leaders and advisors from other chapters and officers that have given adpi so many years and you see what they get back in return.

WOW, It has been years since I have been this pumped up about ADPi and I am ready to go. I mean my chapter is a little short of total and we learned what we have been doing incorrectly and what we can do to make things better. My chapter RVP really took to the changes and advise and seemed to want to run with them I believe we will be an unstoppable chapter by next year.

Any way if any one else went to DLC I then I was the crazy woman looking for anyone with lion earrings. DONT CALL ME CRAZY I WON???

I hope every one had as great a time as me and the ZH chapter
