It could also be because the audience was being ridiculous and wouldn't stop shouting things out loud every minute. Seriously, like every 30 seconds another idiot in the audience would scream, "I'm Rick James, bitch!" "I'm rich bitotch!" I was like ummm we didn't pay to come listen to you dumbasses yell from the audience, thanks.
I saw him when he was here at the end of April. I don't remember it being too short, but the audience did get quite annoying. I definitely agree that I did not pay ALL that money to go listen to a bunch of drunkards scream stuff at him.

I saw him a couple of weeks ago when he came to SoCal. We received SEVERAL warnings about yelling things at him. Surprisingly, NO ONE yelled out. One of his first comments centered on the fact that he's tired of hearing it. He said he was at Disneyland with his two children and people kept coming up to him yelling,"I'm Rich beyotch!" He's like, I'm with my kids.

I was so mad! People are so dumb sometimes.

Nice..

But that's what you get when you go to a comedy show. At least that's the way it is around here. I used to go about every other week. Might start going again once I get this LSAT crap out of the way.

Of course, I don't ever really spend more than a $10-$15 cover for these things -- the drunks are part of the entertainment.

Exclamation "Chappelle's Show" Slowdown

By Charlie Amter

The upcoming third season of Comedy Central's Chappelle's Show is apparently only half-baked._

Work on the hugely anticipated new season of Dave Chappelle's sketch show is behind schedule due to its 31-year-old ringleader's illness and lack of new material from his writing staff, according to the New York Post.

The new season was supposed to premiere Feb. 16. It will now begin airing sometime in late April or May, per the Post.

"Dave--and his entire production crew for that matter--got a bit of a late start on writing season three," network spokeman Tony Fox told the newspaper.

Chappelle has reportedly been laid up with a nasty flu bug, adding to delays brought on by the lack of written material so far for season three. The Emmy-nominated comedy is currently on hiatus for the holidays and will resume production in January.

Maybe after the holidays, everyone should be in good shape to start writing.
