Yes they did - here is the thread about it. They don't disallow their individual chapters from joining their school's IFC though.

APhi SailorGirl - I take it you are at CNU? I thought they were making a big push to build up campus life and make it not so commuter and adding new GLOs was part of it. Please tell me you think this is going to work.

Our main problem with expansion is that we're right next to Tulane, and they already have several NPC sororities (I can think of Kappa Alpha Theta and Chi Omega off the top of my head.) I'd like to see a chapter of Delta Delta Delta, Phi Mu, or Pi Beta Phi here. I've heard rumors of a new sorority coming onto campus, but they're all unsubstantiated.

Tulane has Pi Phi, Chi-O, Kappa Kappa Gamma, Kappa Alpha Theta and something else I can't remember.

Tulane has: Kappa, Chi-O, SDT, AEPhi, Theta, and PiPhi. Their Web site says nothing about Tri-Delt, though. I think they also had AOII as recently as 2000, but no longer. Here is a link to the list of all Greek orgs. on their campus: http://studentprograms.tulane.edu/or...t.php?typeID=3

Tulane doesn't have Tri-Delt...they may have at one time though.
I think AOPi tried to get started but didn't work out.

I'm pretty sure Tulane used to have ADPi at one time...I'll have to check our All Chapters list and find out...
ETA: Our Epsilon chapter opened in 1907 at Sophie Newcomb College/Tulane Univeristy and closed in 1977. Is this the same Tulane you are talking about or is there another Tulane University?

University of Hartford has:
Sororitys:
Phi Mu
Delta Gamma
Sigma Kappa
Delta Zeta
AEPhi
Alpha Xi Delta
Sigma Delta Tau
Fraternities:
Delta Sig
TEP
Sigma Nu
Alpha Sig
SAE
Sigma Alpha Mu
Theta Chi
We also have:
Kappa Alpha Psi
Lambda Theta Alpha
Phi Mu Alpha
SAI
My chapter Delta Zeta just colonized last year. I don't think we have ever lost a sorority chapter that I have heard of, but in the last three years we lost ZBT and TKE here. There used to be a DphiE colony, but it was never chartered. There is a new PDT colony starting and we have AEPi but they have been a colony for a few years. I would love to see Tri Delta, and ZTA for sororitys and Pike for a fraternity. I also would like to see more multicultural orgs. Its hard cause my school is only 6,000 and greek like isnt big here.

Hrmph. That can't be right. The person I know was a member of a newly colonized chapter of Tri-Delt. She had shirts and everything. Maybe I'm being crazy.. I swore she said Tulane, but there's definately not a Tri-Delta chapter there. Oh well.

Adelphi has:
Sororities
Alpha Epsilon Phi
Delta Delta Delta
Delta Gamma
Sigma Delta Tau
Fraternity
Sigma Alpha Mu
I know that there was 11 sororities on campus in the 20s. That's when Adelphi was females only. AEPhi, DDD & DG were the only ones that survived. SDT was colonized in 92. I'd love to see any of the closed chapters recolonize, but only if all 4 are at total. AU used to have - Sigma Kappa, Phi Mu, Phi Sigma Sigma, Kappa Alpha Theta, Delta Phi Epsilon are the ones I remember.

Univ. of Toronto sororities:
AOII
GPB
DDD
KKG
AGD
APhi
PBP
we used to have alot more sororities- KAT, DG, DPE, ADP, AXO,
AEPhi, and Iota Alpha Pi (i've never heard of that one, apparently their int'ls disbanded in '71?)
so i would definitely like to see any of those chapters come back and/or Chi Omega, or ZTA.
we won't be expanding anytime soon though. there's only 1 house on campus that's almost at total.
campus pop.- 60,000 (very large commuter campus)
campus total- 45
one house 3 away from total right now.
as for frats- sorry but we definitely don't need any- we have 17!! right now.

I just checked our website and Tridelt has never had a chapter at Tulane. Sorry, breathesgelatin!

Yeah, I checked a while back too. I must just be really confused about what she told me. I do know that she was a member of a Tri-Delt colony in Louisana like 4-5 years ago or thereabouts... Is that possible?

Morehead State University in KY has:
Sororities:
Sigma Sigma Sigma
Delta Gamma
Chi Omega
Kappa Delta
Delta Zeta
Gamma Phi Beta
Fraternities:
Theta Chi
Lambda Chi Alpha
Pikes
Sig Eps
SAEs
Kappa Sigma
Pi Kappa Phi
TKE
Delta Tau Delta
Sigma Pi
And there are very small AKA, Sigma Gamma Rho, and Iotas chapters here
I'd like to see Tri-Deltas here, and maybe the Sigma Nu's to recharter, and for the membership to grow in NPHC chapters.
We're mostly a commuter school so our Greek population is crippled by all the people who just stay home, where ever that may be.

Maybe...I might have to use my sleuthing skills and find out. But, Tridelta would still have it under its chapter search even if it survived only a couple of years since it has active and inactive chapters listed. Honestly, though I can't imagine a Tridelta colony at Tulane not surviving with a strong LSU chapter so close.
breathesgelatin... I feel like the Tridelta Nancy Drew! I want to figure out what chapter or colony this girl is from.
