I'm kinda feeling Speakerboxxx...but The Love Below is a different story! Andre took it there on this CD.

New music from Jay-Z

Jay-Z helped celebrate his friend Angie Martinez's return to New York's Hot 97 in grand fashion Monday when he premiered a song off of his Black Album called "What More Can I Say." A rep from Roc-A-Fella described the track as a "warm-up record" for the streets. The official first single is now called "Change Clothes" and will debut Friday on AOL.

I heard this song this morning for the first time...it's da BOMB!!! I can't wait for some other singles to drop.

You know...I am also feelin Cee-Lo's new song, I can't think of the name of it though. The beat is tight!

I know. That song is produced by Kanye West. Speaking of Kanye, his CD has been pushed back to Jan.

I've heard both of Tweet's new songs Thugman and Shook Up. I'm lovin' Shook Up because it uses the beat from I Can Love You.

Has anyone heard Nelly's new song that uses the People's Court theme song? I heard it this morning on the radio.

MJ and RK

I did a search but couldn't find this topic here. But if it is a duplicate please delete.

Does anyone else see the irony in MJ's new single being written by R. Kelly who is also singing background?

Clearly I've been under a rock, I haven't heard some of these songs.

I also like Kanye West's "Through the Wire". I haven't heard anything else by him but I'm going to check out his CD.

I love Outkast.

I want Floetry and Jill Scott to make more music.

What is MJ's new single called?

With regards to R Kelly, he makes good music but I still don't understand why he's not in jail. The man is just all over the place, touring, showing up in little kids' videos... AND he calls himself the Pied Piper, if anyone knows that story, the Pied Piper kidnaps the children in the end. *SMH*

Yes, the whole Pied Piper thing makes me ill. I thought that was a terrible choice. Yes, he did use music, I get that reference, but the fact that, as you said, in the end he used it lure the children creeps me out. All of the collaborating with those little boy groups chased by underaged girls also seems misplaced to me right now as well.

You would think that someone in his camp would let him know that that looks all kinds of funky, wouldn't you?

But then it's not much worse than saying his girl reminds him of a jeep, now is it?

I'm also jammin off of T.I.'s "Rubberband Man", and I don't even usually go for that type of music, but his songs are kinda catchy. (and you should see Theta Nu's Alpha's do the train off this one)

I'm LOVING Jay-Z's Black Album. You can listen to his album, plus about 5 or 6 more on mtv.com as part of their Spankin' New Music week.
