Doesn't sound very sexy or exotic.

That's very fitting since the French helped give us our freedom. Twice.

Did anyone see "Weekend Update" on Saturday Night Live this past weekend? Hilarious! They were talking about the "freedom" fries and all and did a "jimmy and tina yelling at america" segment. They said things like:
French fries aren't from France, they're from Belgium. Some stupid American named them wrong in the first place!
Why are you pouring your French wine into the street? You already bought it! You are not hurting the French by not drinking it!
And my favorite:
The French have taken to the name chaning idea - they are now calling American cheese "Idiot cheese".
It was really funny!!!

Fun is fun, but, given the importance of everything else happening in the world, I find this whole "Freedom/French" movement pretty superfluous. (I wonder if that spelling is even close?)

Received this e-mail today:
France has every right to disagree with America, but France has moved from simple dissent to active hostility toward America. France President Chirac warned East European nations that if they sided with the US, France would oppose their membership in the European Union. This very week, William Safire reported in the New York Times that France has been secretly helping to arm Iraq and has been helping Irag build long range missiles. These same missiles may NOW possibly be used against our own US
soldiers.
Just as France has exercised its right to disagree, all Americans can exercise their right to boycott and help countries that do not stand with us.

Lastly, a French compay was awarded a $700 million plus contract to operate the 55 mess halls of our US Marine facilities. Call your congressman and ask that this be rescinded regardless of the cost. This is an absolute insult to our Marines.
This boycott has been promoted by NewsMax's and has been frequently mentioned by Bill O'Reilly on the O'Reilly Factor.
