Oh, and I forgot to mention that for the 3 years previous, a freshman always went missing in the last week of Rush at that fictititious college. Hmmm....and the authorities didn't seem to notice?

Yep remember the filming of that episode too... a lot of that stuff gets filmed around here - particularlly the Canadian TV and film stuff. The going joke that semester was that the Alpha Lambda's where based on us... (maybe because they wanted to use our house for the show, but we said no).
Ah... at least some of us got to be extras at the party scene

I may have already mentioned this, since this thread has been going on for years and I don't feel like sorting through, but the fraternity that Alex was rushing (or part of, I forget if he ended up pledging) was Alpha Phi Epsilon. Think "Sigma Phi Epsilon" with an Alpha, since all "good" movie/TV fraternities have to begin with Alpha.

Here's 2 more for your site from Buffy the Vampire Slayer:
Delta Zeta Kappa - Episode: Reptile Boy
Alpha Delta - Episode: Fear Itself
There are more fraternities mentioned in Buffy, but I don't remember any others right off hand.

On a episode of Fresh Prince, I thought there were 3 fraternities shown in the ep where Will and Carleton rush? Wasn't there one of Carleton's type group, one of Will's and another group outside the Peacock that we didn't really meet? Or am I dreaming?
|
I remember two for sure: One was a HWGLO, the one that Carleton wanted (he showed them his credit card or something like that), and then the HBGLO with the guy that was mean to Carleton.
The other GLO I recall from Fresh Prince was Pi Nu, which is Lisa's sorority.

theta phi kappa...
from a book named the sisters of theta phi kappa.
the saved by the bell sororities.... i can't remeber them, but kelly wanted to be a "theta" and the curly-haired girl wanted to be a "beta" and they ended up being something completely different. of course, they never talked about them after that episode, so i always thought that was weird.

Kappa Theta --Leslie was a legacy & Kelly wanted 2 b 1, Les declined, Kelly was not picked up
Beta Delta --Alex wanted 2 b 1 but was not picked up
Pi Psi -- Alex and Kelly got bidded by them
ETA
Sigma Alpha was the fraternity of choice. Screech, Slater, and Zach all went out, only Screech got in.
