Annie, I'm delighted you are returning to Pi Phi! We didn't have a philanthropy round when I was in college, but I wish we had. It sounds like so much fun. You actually have something to do instead of just talking and hoping you make a connection.

Annie -- glad to see that you are still keeping Gamma Phi Beta on your 'list' -- sounds like rush is going very well for you -- you are right about getting all six houses to invite you back -- that is great! Hi everyone!!

I just came back from dinner so I thought I'd let you know what happened today...

It was, as I said before, philantrophy day... but unfortunately, I really didn't enjoy it half as much as the day before. Perhaps it has to do with running on three hours of sleep!! Anyway, it was casual dress, so I wore jeans and a white polo.

Anyway, here's what I thought of Sigma Kappa, Pi Beta Phi, Gamma Phi Beta, and Kappa Kappa Gamma in RANDOM order (although the corresponding number is the same as in the posts before!):

GLO #1: I still really, really like this group of girls and I think they really like me (tooting my own horn!). They cut out shapes for us to paste on paper bags which will later be filled with bath supplies that will be sent out to folks in Maine who are having a hard time getting out to buy things this winter. I wish I could've talked to the girls that I met yesterday more, but this group, as wtih every other, seemed pretty determined to get us rushees to meet new girls... Oh, but I did meet somebody from my HIGHSCHOOL!! We started screaming and jumping up and down and I think we scared the other girls! I would be really, really pleased to recieve a bid from this house.

GLO #2: Why is that if one rusher has absolutely - ABSOLUTELY - nothing to say to you, she still won't hand you over to another girl? The girl who rushed me repeatedly said to me: "Do you have any questions? Are you sure you don't have any questions? Why don't you have any questions? I'd love to answer your question." I was basically carrying the conversation, and I started asking totally random things because I really DID have no questions... I would've like to get to know my rusher as a person but she would give "yes" or "no" answers to all of my attempts at conversation. I think I made a mistake by not cutting this group and cutting Alpha Chi instead... I won't be terribly surprised if I don't get an invite tomorrow from this chapter.

GLO #3: One of the two top houses... I was honestly surprised to be invited back because I really didn't leave a great impression yesterday. I don't think I did today, and again, I will be pretty darned surprised if I get invited back for tomorrow. I'm really disappointed at the fact that I didn't click with the girls because I know they have to be one of the best houses on campus for a reason.... besides the fact that the girls are gorgeous!

GLO #5: I had a great time at this house, as I did yesterday! It's also one of the top houses on campus... everyone who talked to me yesterday came to talk to me today again, and that was great. I didn't have alot to say to the three girls that rushed me this time... I think three hours of sleep really doesn't ignite any perkiness! I'd really, really like to be a part of this sorority, or GLO #1... I'm going to be pretty crushed if I end up not getting an invite from them tomorrow. Eeep!

Okay, tomorrow is PREFERENCE!!! I really, really am hoping that I will recieve invites frmo GLO #5 and GLO #1.

don't second guess yourself about house #2, since #s 1 and 5 seem to be the ones you're really clicking with... also i'm very impressed that you don't let the great reputation of house #3 dictate your feelings about them... that shows a lot of class and respect for your own feelings... although i am sure they are a great group of women, it's great when you can follow your heart and not the rumors!
