Ha ha, I just had a dream about college football starting up again. Something about the Gators and UT...

Wow. I didn't realize you were a Michigan graduate. As a Penn State Alum, I promise not to hate you (lol). For some reason, everyone hates Michigan. I feel like I'm more inclined to hate Ohio State, even though I have tons of friends who went there. Either way, all the Big Ten schools are very good, education-wise.
I would love for my daughter (future and non-existent right now) to go to Penn State. I would be THRILLED if she joined my chapter, while there. If she went to another good school like Hopkins, Florida, FSU, or any of the other really great chapters we have out there, I'd be THRILLED to see her as a Phi Mu!

Alma mater, alma mater. Brown, not Columbia.
Greek Life has been more important to me as an alumna than it was as a collegiate. Also, it wasn't that big a deal when I was actually in school. Sharing Brown traditions with a mini-Munchkin is more important than sharing AXO traditions.

We surprised one of our newest members by inviting his brother to his first Ritual b/c his brother pledged at another school in Michigan. He was very excited.

I'd prefer my son joining Sigma Chi over going to my alma mater.

Alma Mater. My parents and sisters all attended my university and I love having that connection. It would be wonderful to be able to have the same connection with my kids. Of course, the husband would love for one of them to attend his Alma Mater as well, but unless we strike it rich, I don't know if we'll be able to afford his school by then!

Definitely GLO. I have issues with my school and the general campus culture. They are verrrrrry far down on my list of places I would donate if I suddenly became a bajillionaire. (Top 3: My chapter, Kappa Foundation, Sons of Norway)

I love my school and my Fisk Experience so I would love for my future children to attend.
But I also know the Fisk experience isn't the same as it used to be and I would not want my children going thinking they would have the same experience I had.
GLO? I don't care though I am very partial to them being in the NPHC. I would have questions if they went outside the NPHC.

BluPhire, I didn't think you joined a GLO. Did you? Yes, I would love to see my kids end up at the same place.

Yep I'm pretty low key on here in concerns to GLO's because it is more NPC, NIC convos than NPHC and since I went to an HBCU my experiences with those other orgs are next to nil (The Year after I graduated they finally had Alpha Phi Omega and Phi Mu Alpha back on campus, knew of them because our dorm director was a member of both and had his paraphernalia from those orgs in the display case). Only when I on went Vandy (Vanderbilt) campus that I had some sort of experience interacting with NIC/NPC. It's all new and intriguing to me.

I'm sad to say that I have little to no allegiance to my alma mater, and that the school where I do feel a kinship doesn't have my GLO.
I can always hope, though, and will answer my GLO.

I love my alma mater. I'm going back in the fall. But it's not particularly prestigious, despite that it's an amazing school. My GLO put me on the right track to student leadership and just planning out my future in general. The school could've changed, but my fraternity made me.
I'd choose my fraternity every time. I also have some biases similar to Sen's.

My alma mater. My GLO was just a piece of what was the whole pie of my college life. I loved my time at Ohio Northern (even though I'm broke now because of it!), and I love being a Theta, but I'd be happier seeing my daughter at ONU.

I love my school, but I'd go with GLO if I had to choose.

As much as I love and support the University of Kentucky, I would rather my son attend the college or his choice.
Besides, it is much easier to get accepted to one of them little ole Ivy League schools (as an example) than it is to receive a bid to Sigma Chi.
