Blagojevich considered appointing Oprah for Senate and decides to skip out on trial

This clown.....

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – Gov. Rod Blagojevich tells ABC that he considered appointing Oprah Winfrey to the empty U.S. Senate seat vacated by President Barack Obama.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090126/...or_impeachment

Continuing his media blitz on the day that his impeachment trial was scheduled to begin in the Illinois Senate, Gov. Rod Blagojevich appeared on ABC's "Good Morning America" this morning where he stuck to his story that he did nothing illegal and that he was a victim of an unfair process that could lead to his ouster in a matter of weeks.

Asked directly by interviewer Diane Sawyer if he did anything wrong, Blagojevich said: "Absolutely not and I'll have a chance in a criminal case to show evidence and bring witnesses. And this impeachment trial actually gives me an opportunity, if it was fair, if it allowed me to actually bring witnesses, to prove that the allegations are not true."

Funny how he 'has a chance' to prove he did nothing wrong but so nonchalantly decides to skip the trail and go talk on the news because he believes he won't get a fair trial...well you can't get a fair anything when you don't show up.

...Surprised that lightning didn't strike him down for this gem:

As Dec. 9 unfolded, Blagojevich told NBC, "I thought about Mandela, Dr. King and Gandhi and tried to put some perspective to all this and that is what I am doing now."

I don't recall any of them trying to capitalize on their standing by abusing power.

Apparently he's not listening to legal advice either - I think he's gone through at least a couple of attorneys, and his most recent attorney is dropping him as a client as well.

The megalomaniac affliction seeped into his toupee and affected his mind.

This clown probably thought that he wouldn't be impeached because he felt he did nothing wrong. President Obama was correct in his judgment when he didn't comment on the scandal. He knows that the media will take whatever he wanted to say and make it worse.

I get daily text messages about what a douche my new governor is. At least it keeps my family interested in what's going on here!

Blago is going to be on Larry King Live tonight... "taking your calls!"

Also, that transcript is hi-EFFING-larious! As my grandmother would say, "The mouth on him!"
