I agree, but my 3rd grader is heartbroken that Anthony's gone. He really liked him.

My daughter is heartbroken too (5th grader). She thought Anthony was really cute.

I think the remaining 3 will all be very successful in their respective genres and it won't really matter who wins from here. Carrie will have a successful country record contract, Bo will be a rocker and Vonzell will be successful in pop/R&B. Vonzell has shown the most growth over the competition. Bo has been excellent from the start and therefore seems unremarkable now. Carrie was always good but really only does great in her country genre. Which one should be the Idol? Probably Vonzell, because that's the market/genre they seem to focus on for the Idols. I'd buy CDs by any of them.

I agree with pretty much everything you said. One thing that keeps popping up in various places, though, is the whole thing about Carrie only being good at country. Yet most people tend to agree that her best performance was "Alone"- A non-country song. I'm not arguing with you , just making a general observation.

As much as I'd love for Carrie to win, I will not be surprised if she goes home next week. All three are very talented, and it is anyone's game at this point. I LOVE Bo, but I don't want him to win. I know that sounds wierd, but I'd like to see him get a record deal with his band and that can't happen if he wins AI. I also think that 19E would ruin everything I love about him. I could definitely see Vonzell as the winner, although I would not buy her CD simply for the fact that I'm not into R&B. However, unlike with Fantasia, I would not change the station if she came on either.

Carrie would be my third not b/c I hate her or anything, she just hasn't "WOW'ed" me at all. She's a good singer, but probably not the best. That's just my opinion though

I am sooooo glad Anthony went home. I can't believe he stayed that long, but Carrie is beginning to wear on me too. I like her, but the deer in headlights describes SOOO perfectly what I think of when I see her. She has that one look and no matter how they try to dress it up with jeans, makeup and big hair, it's still there.

But having said that, I think she is a shoe in to win. Mainly because when you've got a following of hundreds of thousands of sorority sisters singing your praises, you can't be beat. (Legally Blonde 2 comes to mind)

My daughter (who is 7) LOVES Bo. She is so anxious every time she sees a vote and when he is singing is the only time she actually shushes other people so she can hear him.

I thought it was really cute that he was wearing flip flops. Personally, I want him to win, because like he said it would be great to see a rocker win the contest-enough with the pop and R&B.

I'm secretly hoping for a Vonzell win because I think she'll be more successful than Carrie would be in her tiny nitch of country.

But you never know... country is actually one of the most popular radio formats... at least according to a media class I took a few years ago.

But if they are going for Billboard hits and the most bang for a quick buck... Vonzell is the 19E Beyonce. (Notice the 19E in front of it... no way in hell I'm comparing her to Beyonce alone.) And she'd cast a nice shadow over Fantasia.

i think they all are going to be pretty successful no matter who wins. This is my prediction for the final 2 episodes:

Carrie will either win it all or go home next week. I dont think there is any way that Vonzell or Bo alone will get more votes than Carrie if it is either of them in the final...

I actually don't watch the show, but I've got to support Bo. Plus he's different than everybody else....finally, no more pop/R&B singers---like we need more of those.

If not Bo, Carrie, because she's different too.

Ok, so I was out running errands and missed the performances tonight. I found out the numbers and have been trying to vote (with no success). How were the performances? I've gathered from lurking on the AI boards that Bo was amazing and that Carrie and Vonzell were both very good.

I really don't know who to vote for tonight. I really think these 3 are exceptional singers and any of them could be AI. I liked 2 out 3 songs for all of them.

My only irritation was Bo's thing with carrying the microphone stand around. I know it's his trademark, but it drives me up a wall. They give you a wireless mike for a reason! He did do excellent tonight, though. I especially loved his a capella song, but as an a capella singer I'm biased.

The guest judge/producer guy picked really good songs for all of them. I actually didn't like Bo and Carrie's judge's choice songs. Simon did a great job picking Vonzell's though.

They are all wonderful and I love them all. I don't care who wins, they're all just great. I wish it could be a 3 way tie. I just enjoy all of their performances!!!

I came in on the end of Vonzell's last song - she sounded amazing from what I heard.

I did not like Bo or Carrie on their last song. I thought Bo sounded too forced. Carrie BOMBED that song - and she shoulda been able to really work it. I was disappointed.

I didn't get a chance to vote, but I would hope that Carrie would go home. I still like all three though

Was Carrie's last song "Man I Feel Like a Woman?" I missed last night, but I did download her and Bo's songs... and I agree that she didn't sound so good. However, I think it was a bad song choice for her. I don't think anyone but Shania could sing that song well because it requires a Shania type of voice, which Carrie doesn't have. I'm willing to bet that the reason Randy picked that song for her was that that's the only country song he knows. I was disappointed with all 3 of her songs actually. Vonzell's first song was just ok but then she kicked ass on the next 2. Bo kicked ass on all the songs. I was really surprised he did so well on 'Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me'. I didn't think he'd be able to pull it off but he did AWESOME. Carrie....meh. I wasn't impressed by any of her songs and I thought 'Man I Feel Like a Woman' was a disaster. I think she would've done better with a Reba McEntire song since it's more in her range...maybe a song like 'Fancy' (but I doubt AI would allow that song on their show...too racy).

I'm hoping for a Bo/Vonzell showdown but Carrie's got the looks that'll keep the teenage boys voting for her.

Yes - that was her song. And LOL at the Randy not knowing any other song - too funny

ZTA - ohhh - I would have loved to hear her sing something Reba. You're right - more in her range and twang

I am now sitting here picturing Bo holding a mike stand and singing "ABCDEFG... H is for STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM ME" directed at 19Evil
