I am so late on this...but CG, I don't use Norton's and haven't in almost 10 years. It's a system resource hog that sometimes does more harm than good. You can get free AV software that works as well as if not better than nortons.

Ya know, my friend told me the same thing. I remember when none of my USB ports would work. She told that because I didn't install the CD for my camera, it didn't recognize it or something like that, so it shut down all of my ports, except for the one my verizon wireless card is plugged into. She said Norton is part of why my computer runs slower than it should. She said the good thing about Norton is that it doesn't let anything through. What's AV software?

Microsoft Security Essentials, AVG, and there are 2 more but can't remember off of the top of my head.

AVG is no good anymore, Avast is preferable and MSE is very good.

My geek random for today: I'm getting ready to watch The Universe season 2, again. I've seen most of it, but I still have quite a bit to watch. Astrobiology. Love it. I can't wait to hear what they have to say.
