I'd be happy to pray for her - may she feel the Lord's peace in the meantime!

I am applying for a teaching position in Pennsylvania. Please pray that I get it, because I really want it and live up there. I am absolutely miserable living here in Florida. I have lived here nearly my whole life. I have been here in Jacksonville for 10 years. I am done with this place. I deserve to be happy again.

Please keep one of our AA members in your prayers. She is going to have a masectomy tomorrow. She is so positive and believes the God's hand helped her find it. She is an amazing member - I refer to her as mom. Thanks in advanced for your prayers!

After complaining of a stomach ache off & on for over a week, I took Mr. F&F to the ER last night. Turns out, his appendix burst and is badly infected!! They are treating with massive doses of both antibiotics & morpheine. They don't operate on burst appendices, unless absolutely necessary (or so I'm being told); they're just draining it and medicating him. He's in the ICU at the VA Hospital. The nurses like him so he's got his cell phone, but I haven't heard anything from him since like 2pm.

Sigh...

Waiting sux....

I'm not sure what that is, exactly. However, from what I'm reading on the 'net, it sounds like that is what he has now. He has a very bad infection because the appendix ruptured 9 days before he was hospitalized. (He takes a LOT of pain meds (from his cervical fracture and resulting nerve damage) which masked the pain somewhat.) They're now draining the fluids from his abdomen and giving him IV antibiotics & morpheine.

I'm heading back to the hospital now. Thank you all for your prayers & support!!

Please keep Mr. FnF's family in your prayers. His father is going to the oncologist today. The doctor told my DH that his father is terminal and has about 6 more months - and that the doc has already told the sister who lives with them, so why is the father continuing to come for appointments? My husband told his father that the doc said there was no reason to back to the doc, but the father insists. DH just could not tell him exactly what the doc said... Hospice nurse made the first home visit yesterday, but my FIL sent her away bc she said that she does not cover chemo (bc the doc has cancelled it bc it is not working). DH can't believe his mom didn't say anything to FIL - but this is a woman very deeply in denial about many facets of her family (but that is a whole other saga...)

Bless you, F&F, and your whole extended family. This is such a hard situation to deal with, and I marvel at those who can. I pray that your inlaws find peace.

ADPiSAI - Your family will be in my thoughts. I'm so sorry that your family has to go through this. Please take care as best you can.

Sidenote - your niece has the same name as my younger sister
