You clearly were. I'm the only one here making fun of y'all for reading comic books...

HAHAHA.
Im not a big comic book fan at all, but i think "Graphic Novels" fall along the lines of "Sin City" "V for Vendetta" and "300". So im guessing they have more of a story, where as comic books are guys with tights.

Certainly an interesting concept, but that stringy purple hair, similar to comic books, stopped being cool in about third grade.

This just came up in a "News Flash"; Still WOW/WTF/et al.....:
Dark Knight’ sets midnight debut record
Movie earned $18.5 million from its midnight screenings in 3,040 theaters
NEW YORK - A tracking firm says “The Dark Knight” has set a box office record for a midnight debut.
Media By Numbers says the new Batman movie from Warner Bros. brought in $18.5 million Friday from its midnight screening in 3,040 theaters.
That bested the 2005 performance of “Star Wars Episode III: The Revenge of the Sith,” which took in $16.9 million at its debut.
“The Dark Knight” figure did not include any of its 3 a.m. or 6 a.m. showings.
The film was selling an average of about 10 tickets per second on online movie-ticket site Fandango.com as fans went to see Heath Ledger and connect with one of the nation’s most mystical superhero franchises....

Now by Monday, the talk will be of "legs".

LOL
It does seem like DaemonSeid was being passive aggressive. If he wasn't, it's still true that you should've stayed your ass out of this thread.

*SORTA SPOILER!?!?*hated the little speech at the end-was ready for them to stop. *END*
However, I was peemypants excited because we are finally getting trailers for "Watchmen"!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!! I was ready to hold a party in the theater! Anyone else excited for one of the best graphic novels to be coming to film? (BTW-I'm not a big GN fan, but I had to read this for a class last fall and I adored it!)

OK, since some people don't seem to be able to take some good-natured kidding around about comics, I'm asking everyone to quit with the "comics are for clowns or for educated adults" debate here. I'm willing to mod a thread about that topic in this forum, but not a discussion of that within the Dark Knight thread. If it continues I'll lock this thread and lock subsequent ones about Dark Knight and YOU'LL NEVER BE ABLE TO DISCUSS BATMAN AGAIN!!! mwa hahaha.
On the other hand, if you keep reporting stupid crap and sending me rude messages along with the reports, I don't know, I'll create a thread clowning you or something. PLEASE STOP.

Good idea.
As for the rest of your moderator rant ( ), I think this thread got beyond that on its own and is back to Dark Knight sightings.

Given what happened to me when I tried to get tickets, I have a question or two put out there to you all:
How many saw/will see movie in regular vs digital vs IMAX?
And how many bought tickets on-line vs in person?
My gym is in the same complex as a 15 screen theater so on Friday I just dropped my bag off at gym and went over to get tickets. Was early, so I was not too surprised not to see a line of any kind. What did surprise me was the the IMAX was sold out until Monday and digital was close behind!
So I ended up buying tickets for Monday.

Had no problem getting tickets, but that is because I went yesterday at 3:30. I wanted to see it in IMAx, but the nearest one is pretty far from where I live.
Movie was AWESOME...Bale is yummy, Aaron Eckhart was outstanding as was Gary Oldman...and Heath...ahh Heath (RIP), he was so good...the Joker was psychotic. I would totally see it again, and pay full price.
Maggie Gyllenhall I could have done without though. I may be in the minority but I actually preferred Katie Holmes.
I'm with whoever said: I'm glad they killed off _______. Me too.
