Talking SIMPSONS

I LOVE THE SIMPSONS!

Kudos to whoever said that the line "You know me Marge, I like my beer cold, my t.v. loud, and my homosexuals FLAMMINGGG!" Lawd I almost died when he said that. That was one of the best episodes they ever did. And notice how no gay people got upset? I guess it's because it was a cartoon.

I also like the one where Apu loses the Quik-E-Mart and sings about it and they are all going in order "Who needs a Quik-E-Mart?" and they get to Homer and he goes "The Quik-E-Mart is..D'oh!"

I also like the Monteral singing episode. Once again at the end, Homer has to screw it up after the song is done by going "mono..D'oh!"

But the one that I say all the time is where Homer forgets to pick up Bart after his soccer practice, he runs out the front door naked.

Lisa: "Dad hide your shame!"
Flanders: "Hey Homey! I can see your doodle!"
Homer: "Shut up Flanders"

Me and my homegirls say that to the guys on the beach, we can see your doodle!

Hehehe, I love Smithers' hidden crush on Mr. Burns, too...

Mr. Burns: "Smithers, I've got a rocket in my pocket!"
Smithers: "You don't have to tell me that, sir."

Mr. Burns on Smithers' computer: "You really know how to turn me on!"

Once when I was back on campus for Homecoming I saw a newspaper article on a bulletin board in the Telecommunications Building which headlined, "Bart Simpson is an Ohio University graduate."

Seems that Julie Kavner (sp?), who is Bart's voice, was a student at good old "Harvard on the Hocking."

(The writing on the show is brilliant!)

Here in Northern California, The Simpsons are on UPN three times a day! 6:00pm, 7:30pm, and at 11:00 pm! They showed the episode when Marge loses her hair and they hire a nanny, "Sherry Bobbins"- it was SO funny, especially if you like "Mary Poppins"! She was singing about cutting corners when she had Bart clean up his room, and she said "Cause it's the American way". HOW TRUE IS THAT- ESPECIALLY TODAY!!!

Julie Kavner is the voice of Marge. She also played Rhoda's sister, Julie Morgenstern on "Rhoda."

Nancy Cartwright is the voice of Bart.

I'm so excited! Season 2 is out on DVD!

Juniorgirl,

Hmmmm, I thought that, too, and someone told me I was wrong. Truth is, since the credits don't list who's voice is who's, I took that other person's word for it.

Who does the Bart voice?

Homerpalooza! i was a huge smashing pumpkins fan when that episode came out so it totally made my day.
Also, in a halloween episode: Homer in 3-D... i have sound bite from that episode on my computer.
When the family goes to the beach and Lisa finds out she can be cool. Then the kids decorate the family car and seagulls follow them home.
this one was pretty recent but when homer strangles that ostrich.

Ever notice that when an episode starts it finishes on a COMPLETELY different topic? I find that ammusing...
