Jennifer Lancaster is a Pi Phi. She wrote Bitter is the New Black and other books that are autobiographical about her working at a Fortune 500 company and then suddenly losing her job. Her books are really funny and often she uses Pi Phi letterheads in her notes in her books. Apparently she was rush chair at her chapter (she went to a Big 10 school but I can't figure out where). Her website is www.jennsylvania.com and in her "About" section there's a picture of her and one of her sisters wearing lettered shirts in front of a boat. The only thing that irks me is that her books advertise her as a "former sorority girl". I'm re-reading Bitter is the New Black and her notes indicate that her chapter sisters called her Hitler in recruitment and she fined them $100 for not smiling enough.

Do you think Jennifer Garner's days as a Pi Phi may have helped in her research for her next movie???

"Butter" looks hilarious. Can't wait to see it!

*crashing* because I happen to very much enjoy TPW's blog and show: Ann Marie “Ree” Smith Drummond, California Gamma. Award-winning American blogger for The Pioneer Woman, New York Times bestselling author and star of the Food Network’s Pioneer Woman.

I thought Ree Drummond was an OK Alpha (OU)? She's definitely both an Okie and a Pi Phi, maybe I just assumed about her college.

I copied the info from the Pi Beta Phi official website; I suspected Ree was a Pi Phi (and don't ask me to reveal why, because then I'd have to... well... nevermind!).

Yeah, I looked it up on Wikipedia and it looks like she did go to USC, I probably just conflated her being and Okie with going to OU. I've known she was Pi Phi for a while, but I can't remember where I heard it.

I'm getting ready to try a recipe of hers, and I have high hopes. Her blog/recipes are pretty entertaining, but generally don't appeal to me.

TRY THE CINNAMON ROLLS. Incredible. You will be the most popular person in the entire zip code where you live (OK, I will butt out of your thread now, Pi Phis!).

There's a rumor going around that Suzanne Collins, author of The Hunger Games, is a Pi Phi. I'm pretty sure it isn't true. I think people see arrow symbols on stuff and just hope it means it's related to Pi Phi.

She graduated from my alma mater, I do not believe she was Greek. She was a theater arts major, which has a VERY low percentage of Greeks. She was the subject of a profile in our alumni magazine and they usually mention Greek affiliation, as well. The Pi Phi chapter at IU would definitely have made it known if she was an alum.

ETA: Molly Malaney from the Bachelor was definitely a Pi Phi at IU. She is the one Jason didn't pick for the final rose and then dumped Melissa Rycroft on national TV and then got together with her.
