Agree with BadCat. It's you do it to make the family members who did it before you happy. I don't know if I'll "make" my kids do it, but I want them to have the option.

Bingo. I was supposed to be in one, my mom signed me up and everything. But when I saw the information packet that listed what we'd need and how much everything was, I asked my mom if I could drop out and have a car instead. She obliged.

I've only participated in one deb ball, but been a guest at many. And yeah, it's a pain to get a dress, get it fitted, wear the stupid gloves and all that, but it's still fun. I'm glad I did it and I like going as a guest even better. Less effort, same fun.
