Katrina refugee gunned down in Tennessee
Police investigating whether robbery was the motive
Friday, September 23, 2005; Posted: 11:29 a.m. EDT (15:29 GMT)
CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee (AP) -- A man who sought safety from Hurricane Katrina in Tennessee was gunned down in the street and died, possibly during a robbery of his Red Cross relief money.
Don Maurice Airline, 24, of Metairie, Louisiana, was found on a secluded road with five gunshots to his head. Days before he was killed last week, the Red Cross gave him a debit card worth several hundred dollars.
Investigators found five handgun shell casings with Airline's body, less than a mile from a Red Cross shelter where he had stayed. Police were investigating whether robbery was the motive; no one has been charged.

I wonder what the chances that the murder was another refugee though?
Probably pretty high.

You all need to put down those guns and find hobbies like model train building.

What evidence supports this assertion?

Suspect in evacuee's murder surrenders to police
A suspect accused of killing a hurricane evacuee has surrendered to authorities.
Chattanooga police say Edward Jones came to police headquarters Monday night after he learned there was a warrant for his arrest. Jones was wanted for the first-degree murder of Don Maurice Airline. Airline's body was found less than a mile from the shelter.
Jones is free after posting a $50,000 bond. A shelter volunteer says Airline could have been a target because of money received from the Red Cross.

I hope you realize that I was agreeing with you. Looking back, it might have sounded like I was being arguementative.

I did realize that you were agreeing.
I've been feeling overly lawyerly on GC lately because I've been reading so many statements people are making without providing any evidence or support to back them up, and it annoys me to no end.

Yea, and the welfare system is the single most exploited system within our government.
