Yes he is - it's too bad his store on Beacon Hill ended up closing. There never seemed to be anyone in there. I guess his crowd never followed him over to the store.

The WBC has been great. Hopefully this is a good start and the Classic can continue after this year.

no doubt that bakery has got all the bomb frostings,
i love those cupcakes like mcadams loves gosling...gosling...gosling....gosling....

in other words. No doubt, I agree this world classic has been the shit. But ESPN needed to plan this better. Screw Deportes and screw womans basketball. Who the hell watches that? No one cares about Hampton vs Marmouth or whatever. C'mon!

I also agree that the US doesn't suck. The other nations are definately that good. But, They also lucked out by not going into the latin pools.

Yeah word, if by 'lucked out' you mean 'rigged it to work out that way'

Also - Damon has a 'sore shoulder', which is why Holliday has been playing - Steinbrenner is probably PISSED, but he should have known what he was buying: a guy who is ALWAYS hurt and always plays through it, who at some point will realize he's 34 and can't play through it . . . schadenfreude baby!

If Steinbrenner didn't know it, every reasonable Yankee fan did. I would like to be in Steinbrenner's presence the first time a guy scores on a short fly ball to center, as Damon's throw comes rolling in to the plate.

Yeah exactly - don't get me wrong, I love Johnny Damon like few probably should in spite of his skill set being pretty overrated . . . but he definitely throws like the outfielders in RBI Baseball.

To be honest, I'm not surprised. It blows like hell though.

Yep, the Dominican team is just sick. Good thing the US played in the easy bracket so they could go to the semis, oops

In mid season form, I would also say that the US could make up one of the most dominant lineups out of any of the countries. The problem with the WBC is that all of the Americans take a three month vacation after the MLB season is over....while all of the foreigners go back to their respective countries and play in winter leagues. So don't be quick to judge those comments on the US's lineup. If this tournament was played two months from now, I would pick them as the best overall team also.

Was it you that was jacking off the Dominican Team and asserting their dominance? Well they got rolled by Cuba......"idiot."
