i like you casanova..call me . i can chat all day about service, fellowships, conferences, and anything else business wise dealing with apo. your comment might have just ended this long drawn out discussion that started with me asking one question....who is going to atlanta?? i just wonder with all this bickering and jumping down someones' throat, who has paid their dues, who is service hours active, who is the real active brother with so much drama to bring and worried about if an apo female is going to ruin your i mean their "little" picnic. but that's another story.

Let start a forum about what service were doing, or what our chapters have accomplished. Except for talking about what makes us different lets talk about what brings us together as a fraternity and why we all joined, i think sometimes we lose site of that under all the drama

Amen brother!! Service, Service, Service.....Thats what its all about!

*Shaking my head*
See, this is the type of drama I was talking about in my other post. I just don't like it.
If it's an A-Phy-Q event, why didn't they invite their APO female members to come as well as the GSS members??? It should be all love.
Secondly, why do WE female members of APO have to "know our place"??? What the hell is that about? I thought it was 2004 not 1964.
We need to get it together folks. It's been almost 30 years since APO has been Co-Ed and we're still having this discussion?!?
*Still shaking my head*

oh my, you are so head strong about this event. it's ridicilous. but first, let me comment on the asking another person about house business when she dont live there...of course she would not have an answer because she did not "live and die for a.p.o." and i do mean "live and die for A.P.O." say it with me. now if you ask me who is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Alpha Chi Chaper and a member of Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity Psi Phi Chapter both residing at Tennessee State University, I would say:
"well, well, yes it's history and history and heritage should be attained and kept rolling. there is nothing wrong with an organization that was founded upon service, leadership, and friendship to have a gathering for the members who branched off and started their own organization sort of speaking. this event is every vike right and all vikes should be encouraged to go to be informed of what they pledged. but you my fraternity brother, unless you joined before 1976, have to accept the fact that women are in this organization and what kind of leadership are you displaying making comments saying you dont like a brother in the fraternity cause she is female, or is that what i interperted. i might have gotten you misunderstood, but you are in a co-ed fraternity.now deal with it!!!!!!!!!!! i guess you will never understand unless you are from a co-ed chapter and have to deal with the females in this organization."
my opinion--- i dont give a flying flip about who shows up at the picnic, my line brothers will be there. and i will be there to support them in the step show and then be on my merry little way and hope yall vike it up the whole got dang on weekend
email me so we can chat...

This whole thread is a complete embarassment to our organization. Anyone who claims to love Alpha Phi Omega and would carry on this converation on a public forum seriously needs to reconsider what Alpha Phi Omega really means to them. It saddens me to be associated with such people and such stupidity. I am almost ashamed to wear the same letters as some of you.

Dear Idiot:
If you needed time for yourself, you should not have pledged a coed fraternity.
Love,
The APO Spy
PS: You're stupid.

what if...
the female Brothers wanted to have an event just for themselves...what if it was predominantly the white females who wanted to have a gathering - what would you think then? would *that* be right? would that be true to the cardinal principles? would you expect nationals to be upset at that? what do you think the non-members reading this board think about this organization now? are we cohesive and fair to one another?
can't we just all get along?

And another thing, for everyone.
Don't be fooled....this conversation has happened OVER AND OVER again on greekchat. Ask the people who have registered BEFORE TODAY. Ask the people who have been on Greekchat since 2002, 2001, 2000. (Heck some of y'all might have been here since 1999 when the jont opened.)
DON'T BE FOOLED......when someone says we should be talking about service, look to see how many posts THEY have begun about service.
DON'T BE FOOLED.....I can be a "suspect" brother all day long....but the only thing I SUSPECT as that some of these people are the same person. Or sleeping with each other, who knows these days.
DON'T BE FOOLED....the national office doesn't me little old ME to be a spy. THIS IS A PUBLIC MESSAGE BOARD. D'uh and womp womp wommmmp on all that.
I stand by my original statement wishing I had the ability drop some of y'all from your pledge classes. Because if you believe in some of the things you do, APO REALLY MADE A MISTAKE ON YOU.

i would respect it, and not come. i have a lot of frat bruhs and i dont have to know, like, grip, and kick it with all of them. there are some people here on greekchat that dont like us. i dont dislike you back, i just respect the fact that you have your own opinion and see things from a different perspective. it doesnt mean that i cant try to understand your perspective either, which is basically why i come here anyway. by all of us taking the same obligation, i feel compelled to help you as much as i possibly can, and to do community service, we didnt take an oath or obligation to come to the cookout, which by the way is NOT an Alpha Phi Omega function.
x
regardless of this entire thread getting out of hand, i still respect EVERYONE here and their opinions.

Re: Can the "BRUHS" have something over there own?
yo, frat. i appreciate the shout-out, but you should know that this is not the place for all of that. your demeanor is totallycontrary to your post. you want people to respect us and to respect our space, but dude, look where youre at. this is their space, and youre not really proving a point by coming in here like that. not that i dont agree with you to any degree, but its just the wrong place. give respect, get respect.
