Update on Work

My Dr. urged me to quit working and get off of my feet so I can get some extra rest. My last day at work is November 19th. This is about 4 1/2 weeks earlier than we had hoped and although I won't be placed on strict bedrest yet it will be a challenge to pay the bills without my check. Please keep us in your thoughts!

Bedrest and pics

Well I am officially on bedrest however it is not strict yet. I have started to efface and to dilate. I can get up to shower, make a snack and for a few minutes each hour. I can recline on the couch or in a recliner or lay in bed. We hope we can avoid the bedrest where I have to lay in bed all the time and can only get up for the bathroom. The babies are doing really well. Our daughter is measuring on time and our son is measuring a week big. Also, I am attaching a link to our baby photo album again because there is a picture of my big belly at the end of it. Feel free to check any or all of the pics out.

I would appreciate your continued prayers. These babies need to bake for at least 7 more weeks. I am 29 weeks now and 36 week babies are usually ready to be out in the world.

Update

Well we have made it to the 32 week mark and that is wonderful. If the babies came today they would have a neonatal ICU stay but not a long one and they should be pretty healthy. Our little girl is 4 pounds now and growing great. She is measuring exactly right for their due date. Our little boy is huge and is 5 pound 5 ounces and measuring almost a month big. We would really like to make it at least 3 more weeks and I have been on bedrest for a month now so your continued thoughts and prayers would be great! This pregnancy has been very difficult for me and I am so uncomfortable. I am measuring about 50 weeks pregnant size wise so my body feels like it should have popped a long time ago! I am not sure I will be able to walk in another 3 weeks but that's alright!

Loyally,

Tina

Tina, you are AMAZING for persevering. I hope those little babies grow up to appreciate everything that you are going through to give them a healthy start! (Of course, I don't think kids appreciate anything until they're adults, but that's a whole other story! lol)

We continue to think of you and pray for you and those buns in the oven! Happy Holidays, hon--you deserve it!

I am new to GC and I have read all of the posts about your babies! I am so amazed at the support you can find on this network. I have only been an active Alpha Gam for two months and I am so happy that there are all these caring people out there! Congratulations on your twins and my thoughts and prayers are with you. I pray that you and your babies will turn out healthy and vivacious. Good luck and keep us posted!

Any Day Now

This is probably the last post I will make before the babies come. For those of you who know what I am talking about I am now 100% effaced and dilated to 2cm. Our little boy is as low as he can get without actually coming into the world. Both babies are developing really well and we will be at the 35 week mark on Sunday. The babies should be fine if they are born at this point. They might need a few days or a week in the Neonatal ICU but probably not. Please keep praying for us. We also found out this week that my Father in law who has metastatic prostate cancer that is in his bones now has a cancerous mass in his brain. He only has a few weeks left and really wants to see the babies. For that to happen they have to be healthy enough to go to him because he is no longer mobile. We hope and pray that he will last long enough and be able to know what is going on when the babies get here.

Love and thanks again! You are the greatest sisters!

Tina

Also, if you use the link I put in one of the other messages I have more recent pictures and one of my Belly at Thanksgiving. I am now too huge to fit in anything but maternity sweats!

Yay! It sounds like the babies will be here soon and you've made it to a safe point. It must be such a relief! Every time I see a new post on this thread, I find myself hoping that they're here safe and sound!

Best wishes to you and I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers!
